@@nomaanalwi9495 it's basically a take on the low fodmap diet, but without reintroducing suspected irritable foods. All these diets aren't sustainable, they lack variety, and lack carbs. Your body needs variety of vegetables, and carbs are the most efficient energy source so if your an elite athlete you'll most likely perform best on higher carb lower fat.
@dl19275 жыл бұрын
@@nomaanalwi9495 Because the prescribed massive quantities of red meat in the Vertical Diet aren't good for you. I love a steak as much as the next guy, but eating multiple steaks/burgers/patties per DAY is insane on a long-term basis. Same goes for the huge quantities of salt. Those two alone are known to be bad for your cardiovascular health. I bought the book after all the hype, but it's basically massive quantities of red meat and rice. The evidence is very strongly stacked against that being a sensible long-term diet plan.
@harvestblades5 жыл бұрын
@Marc Hlavac With athletes things get in their head, and it is their income at stake so they need to figure out what the issue is. Even if Brian does perform better either due to the psychological or physiological impact of the diet changes I don't think his health or body composition will improve. I don't know if the nutritionist he is working with again gave him specific brands for the items like "crinkle cut sweet potato fries" but a lot of the items are extremely processed, and adding not just a lot of carbs into his diet, but other nonsense as well. I hope the best for Brian, as he is a amazing guy, and a great representative for the sport.

Good to see man. I can go on for days about what it takes for the human body to manage progression in extreme conditions. The physical and metaphysical properties of the body depend on the decisions we make each moment. Every stressor is detailed whether it be resistance training or cleaning your house. Every second is important especially when you want to be the best self possible

Hi Brian. I.m new to your channel, but saw you stocking up on pasta sauce. It is so much cheaper to make your own, and it is also pretty quick and easy. Buy whole, not diced tomato's and either chop them yourself or use a blender of some sort then pass through a sieve. You can also use the now diced tomato's instead of sieved if you like a chunky style sauce. Dice and fry onion, in a little oil over med heat, when it starts to get golden brown, add some herbs of your choice, you can use fresh or dried, just remember dried are much stronger so use less, and if you like garlic add some fresh garlic as well. Add tomato's, some water, salt, ( or soy sauce ) and pepper, let it reduce a bit and there you have it. You can add, meat or veg if you want though you then either add cooked items or cook the sauce slowly for a longer time till every thing is cooked. We often make large pots of the plain sauce, then bag it in portions and freeze, then it's ready anytime we want it, defrost in the microwave or gently over a low heat in a pan, and when defrosted add whatever you want to it. The sauce is also handy for lasagna as well.Hope you try it and save lots of money. Much love and respect, from South East England. x

I am really glad you are changing your diet and eating more variety. My husband has tried to follow your previous diet and even though he is bigger and can lift heavier, he is sluggish, swollen, and has way more aches and pains. I hope he is influenced with this new diet you are on, and will choose to switch his as well. I know it will help the both you tremendously.

Might want to do a naturally-brewed soy sauce like Kikkoman. Some of those others are chemically processed. Soy beans, salt, and water should be about the only ingredients on the label.
