I remember commenting on your previous much older vids that we're the same age, same stage in life etc. We still are!!! How about that? Soooo much to pull apart about this stage of life and "us" knowing who the hell we are within the scheme of things. Can't wait to see more vids pop up. Oh yeh, I too had a successful Etsy store but I closed it cos of all the crappy changes they made a few years ago. Alllllso, we made the same stuff - homewares and jewellery. Welcome back stranger 😉 Ahhh yes. Identity. Interesting subject. I never had children so I didn’t deal with empty nest “syndrome”. But I was in the Nursing profession for 48 years. That is who I was. That is how I identified myself as because when people ask you what do you do, my answer was always “I’m an Operating Room Nurse.” Retired now and it’s kind of strange. When people ask now what do you do, I say “Enjoying life”. I will always be a Nurse in my heart and being as you will always be a Mom to your children. But now I don’t have to be “on call”. I don’t have to be in charge of a room and be the advocate for a person that can’t advocate for themselves. In some ways it’s a relief. But it is a strange place to be in now. I’m a wife, a neighbor, a friend. My fur babies “mom”. A member of my community who tried to serve them the best that I could. What does my future hold? Only time will tell. Your Etsy store looks interesting. I will delve into it more as you add more items. Looking forward to seeing your journey as you move forward in your life. ❤

Final comment i promise…. Im in a unique position I never considered, one twin is at university, the other is home needing constant physical and emotional support after a full mental breakdown, psychosis and now physically disabled with an (as yet) undiagnosed autoimmune disorder and needs 24 hr care. Both of these situations require mental gymnastics to deal with. I feel sort of reconciled, but i had some frustration and resentment after being a lone parent with no family support and putting the kids first for years, then all my future plans have been put aside situationally. I have an autoimmune disorder causing chronic pain and exhaustion, so it’s been hard from the start really. I am an optimist though, and life can be unexpected. ❤
