Updated: 24/72 hour LBE gear

Here is an updated 24 hour / 72 hour LBE system that I am currently using. I think this system is much more comfortable than the older Military Issue "H" type harness.
The Harness and padded belt is made by Condor.
I have enough equipment and gear to sustain me atleast 72 hours depending on the situation. As stated, alot of this particular set up is geared toward my Civil Air Patrol exercises and missions, however it does have many other uses.

I'm getting the condor harness. I can use my condor big buttpack with the MOLLE straps and get another buttpack for the padded belt which I am also going to get. Thanks for posting this video and giving me a solution.

@q1qeu You can change the batteries on the light stick. It takes watch batteries. I have upgraded my light as well, but I still keep the light stick for a backup. There is nothing wrapped up in the poncho, just in the all weather space blanket. Thanks for watching...

@djlolypop If you went with the current configuration like I show here....without the gear, just the belt, harness, butt pack, sustainment pouch, and canteens about $150 roughly. Once you add the rest of the gear add on about another $200-400. I would suggest getting the harness, padded belt and riggers belt first and add from there.

@prepper4life1 Preppy....I have water purification tabs in the BCB Crusader cookset. My filter is in my Alice Pack. I do have an Aquramira Frontier Pro filter, but its not made its way into this kit yet.....LOL

@0122358 Normally when I am hiking and such, I do attach the compass to the shoulder strap or put it around my neck for easy access. I actually can get more stuff in that sustainment pouch if I wanted to. They will hold 3 complete Mres and a few small items if you are wondering. With the casualty/space blanket, I just fold it into 3 halves, then fold the entire thing in half and roll it. Thanks for watching.

I just happened to see this. What you could say is that most of the items you have are found on Airsoft equipment sites. "Evike.com" is one place where most of what you have is found. Its not that expensive, and using both Evike, and going on Ebay, I have put together my own emergency SAR kit. I'm also a CERT team member, and hopefully I'm going into CAP; since I"m a former EMT/1A. So, hopefully one of these days I can put together a video on my own gear, showing how you can repurpose old Airsoft field gear....

@charper3006 i was referring to all the small + loose stuff underneath the poncho. i will have to recheck the cheap light stick, i really didnt see how i could change the battery. thx for the hint charper3006! (just have to find a supplier for cheap watch batteries) watch makers and -sellers want ungodly amounts of money for batteries. :-)

have you thought about putting the compass in a pouch and placing it on the shoulder D-ring, you could aso do the same with your survival kit that you have on your Kabar, that way, youd alieviate some of the weight in your buttpack and have easy acess to your compass I love this kit. I didnt know ou could cram that much stuff into a sustainment pouch and how did you get your casualty blanket so small??

Regarding my 72 hour loadout with a medium ALICE would you put your sleeping bag on top, because keeping heavy things high is better for your CG or on the bottom?

i got one of those lightsticks but i dont like that its a one time item, you cant change the battery. i upgraded to a nite ize with a red micro light, a bit bulkier but batteries are cheap and can be replaced. I like your setup, i am just a bit worried that you could lose a lot of the small parts when you take out the poncho from the buttpack.

Thanks I'm also in CAP and I'm just trying to get my best gear so the belt doesn't come with the butt pouch and the harness doesn't come with the back so if you could also give me links to those it would be much appretiated.

Dallin Brohamer The butt pouch and any other accessories are sold separate as well. Look at the previous comment, I put links to USCAV and they have the harness and belt. Im sure they also have the butt pack and all the other accessories. I would just use the internet and shop around to get the best price(s).

Dallin Brohamer There are literally hundreds of different pouches out there as well as makers. Just Google Butt Packs and Molle Pouches. Jet boils are nice. I just like my Brunton Raptor or the MSR Pocket Rocket. Its just personal preference...
