Yes. Something about him just doesn't sit with me because it seems biased. I also don't think his books have any revelations because clean eating and avoiding sweets is already very popular in the US and the correlation between obesity and heart disease and sugar seems like common knowledge here. Josie, I work for a corporation supporting one division with 6 key departments. My email is constant so it’s not just the self employed. Also, the marketing propaganda of large commercial food companies is no different from clothing and beauty companies. You studied these tactics so you know. Dermatologist and other medical experts are very loud in speaking about the falsehoods being spread by beauty companies. In fact, many say using more than three products on your face is not necessary. While I appreciate your enthusiasm on gut health and living your best life, I caution the delivery of this education by stating how others are conducting their business. A label on a jar, website, or package cannot be stated as factual unless you are an expert and seen firsthand how it was manufactured and the source of all of the ingredients.

In my 50 years of life, i have seen a lot of diet trends come and go. A lot of “safe” and “effective” things that have been proven harmful. At the end of the day, true health comes from within and our bodies always communicate with us if only we are willing to learn how to tune in. One size does not fit all. For some fermented foods work wonders, but for some cause issues, my husband for one. Although in excellent shape and good health at 50, it is something his body rejects. Learning about our bodies is a wonderful thing, but my all time safest bet is to listen to my body, record what i ate and follow my internal trend.

As an American who holds Pricess Di as one of her favorite feminists of all time, it feels like Meghan is using her platform to say "poor me" whereas Diana used her platform to say "poor women across the globe of which I am one." Diana was vulnerable about her eating disorder and sexuality (who can forget her talking about her vibrator going off in her hand luggage), and she exhibited grace and courage. She was the image of the picture perfect woman at the top of one of the world's most prestigious institutions without receiving her fairytale. She was a figure of intense pain yet she held her head high and carried on with sophistication and optimism. And she managed to remain the People's Princess while never directly throwing the royal family under the bus. Meghan comes off as if she feels she is a victim - one of the most powerful and privilleged victims we can imagine. I wanted to like them more than anyone - I could look at her all day she is so beautiful and an American and a WOC, but she has wilted instead of blossomed and she is not as aspirational or inspirational as Josie despite having every advantage.

It's not so much that the factor in SPF has to be high, it's the frequency of reapplication that matters. Charlie likely sweats more than you, Josie, hence him being a bit more red. Reapply, reapply, reapply 🤩

Location....Maldives? The bag is a little insane. I think the pearl handle is out of scale. A decent idea but I don't think it's that attractive it's a lot of shape and the pearls are way too big. And again, I'm going to mention The teeth. All this money you're making, all this money that you're spending on these locations and clothing and skin care and then you're choking on your teeth. You need to get your bite corrected that means a breaking of the jaw and getting it reset. It's a process and I think it's definitely necessary. You may have a class 2 overbite which really needs some addressing. I've had the whole process done and it changed my life and it was definitely needed and it's a process that takes quite a while but so worth it.

Great Vlog as Always. Lovely to see all the herbs growing. With regard to the book ‘Spoon Fed’…. As a 60yr old we are perhaps the last generation to have been brought up on mostly natural foods. We saw in the 1970’s food beginning to change. In the 1990’s I learnt the connection between ‘Good Food’ and ‘Good Health’. This information has served me well so far. According to a Stanford neurobiologist, the best thing you can do for jet lag is get early morning sunlight in your eyes on local time and then watch the dusk/sunset as well. This helps your brain forecast when it will be sleeping. And when it’s time to start reducing adrenaline and body temperature for sleep. Also, from that same scientist: Alcohol is not good for the micro biome and micro flora. It kills it. So, joining Charlie in nonalcoholic drinks would probably do a lot to get you toward your goals.

Oh Josie, I am so jealous. My husband and visited Six Senses Maldives in Summer 2019 and loved it. So happy you are vlogging, don’t be surprised if they move you to a beach bungalow for your second week very different experience to the over water villas but very enjoyable with more space. Josie beautiful blog. Cuban thyme is called in Spanish oregano brujo. I am very happy you are enjoying your vacations well deserved it for both. Charlie is burn and is going to be painful. You are not going to believe it but the best thing to put on a sunburn that stop peeling and pain is baby oil. One dermatologist explain to us why and really makes a huge difference. In my university years I was in the swimming competitions and you know how the sun in the south of US is. Try it and you will see the difference.
