Walking and intermiitent fasting has done wonders for me. I was 178cm , 83kgs. Through walking, intermiitent (16/8) and bit of resistance training ( push ups , resistance band workouts),I have reduced almost 10kgs in around 4 months. If you are overweight, start walking atleast 8000 steps for couple of months(it's easy to walk than run or resistance workout and hence it becomes a habit) and ease into more harder workouts.

@@nithinjohn135 I started doing this when I was diagnosed with borderline diabetes. So completely avoided sugar and sweets(ഓണം , വിഷു , പിറന്നാള് ഒക്കെ പായസം കുടിക്കും 😀) . 16/8 intermittent fasting. 12 pm to 8 pm eating window(skipping breakfast is easy for me as I don't generally eat breakfast ). 4-5 തവി ചോറ് കഴിക്കുന്നതിന് പകരം 2 തവി ആയി കുറച്ചു. കറികളും തോരനും കൂടുതൽ കഴിക്കും. പിന്നെ പ്രോട്ടീൻ(വീട്ടിൽ vegetarian ആയതു കൊണ്ട് പയറു വർഗ്ഗങ്ങൾ ) . വൈകുന്നേരം പാൽ ചായ മധുരം ഇല്ലാതെ , പിന്നെ ബദാം , അണ്ടി പരിപ്പ് പോലെ (ഒരു 5-10 എണ്ണം) എന്തെങ്കിലും. ഒരു 8000 steps നടക്കും. പിന്നെ ഒരു പ്രോട്ടീൻ shake. രാത്രി മിക്കവരും ചോറോ ചപ്പത്തിയോ with some curry. What I figured out is that I was eating large portions(4-5 spoons of rice etc.). Controlling the portion size itself helped me reducing the calorie intake. After few days I started feeling full with less amount of food. I was eating enough and wasn't starving. I think keeping a routing and sticking to it really helped me. PS: not an advice, but my experience. For me following a diet plan is not sustainable (low carb, keto etc. ). But this restrictive eating I feel I can do it with ease. Might be different for different people.
