The way Chris always talks about finding a "boyfriend free girl" he can "make into a sweetheart from the ground up" genuinely makes me curious about the relationship dynamic between his parents. I've worked with vulnerable adults much like Chris and none of them have ever talked about a romantic partner the way he does.

It's obvious they where both quite conservative, and where stuck in an old view of family life, the old "Husband + wife, 2.5 Kids and white picket fence" shtick, it's arguably the reason Chris even exists, since they where both too irresponsibly old to have and raise kids, but they where stuck in the mindset of "Gotta have kids", possibly to look after them. Though Bob's pensions and service record probably would have left him a comfortable retirement, barb could probably spend any amount of money, which is why she needed to leach off someone. Given the old media Chris experienced through them, I think even anyone without autism would have end up with similar views, it's just Chris lacked any external influences to challenge them. If you note, after Bob died and Barb went senile, a lot of his old style views crumbled, as no-one reinforced them.

I think I finally figured out what Chris actually wanted for a girlfriend based on all of what he wanted his girlfriend to be from the signs that he made, I think what he actually wanted was a “Sugar Mama” defined as a woman who offers support, typically financial or material to younger companion in exchange for romantic🤢 or sexual pleasure🤮, and I think it’s obvious that Chris might actually have been OK with dating an older woman as long as she can give him what he wants like sex obviously but also a child which might be possible but the thing that might be the limit is Chris wanting Sega and Nintendo to make Sonichu a legitimate franchise which can’t ever happen because of copyright infringement, which of course Chris would completely deny but still later on he’ll just keep Sonichu as a small independent thing that doesn’t get any money and eventually he’ll probably abandon it

I mean, most normal people, who reach their teens may feel the same way, However, the way Chris went about his Love Quest was... Not so well thought out, sadly. I don't think his parents believed that he had autism. I know that the school Chris went to suggested that he go to special Education classes and his parents pulled him out of that school and went somewhere else.

Bob and Barb were already too old when they had him, and they come from a different era of American life prior to the internet being a thing and where funny people like Chris were placed into asylums and forgotten about. From their perspective avoiding special education meant avoiding a path that could place Chris in an asylum. They were also old themselves and couldn't realistically be expected to be as active as younger parents. Bob actually seemed to be doing the best he could and set had actually set up a cozy fund and pension for chris and barb... but barb squandered away the lions share of that with Chris being a little more responsible while still spent large amounts on frivolities such as legos and videogame DLCs for games he didn't even own.

@@Helpertin I thought they wasted it on the lawyer for from running over michael snyder, or at least most of it, we do know during the begging saga (Financhu) cwc did spend up to $6,267.09 on themself alone

@@gothicbabboy666 barb hired one of the priciest lawyers availabale to her because she believed money spent = law suit won. She also wasted it on jewelry and other frivolities and adding to the hoard. Chris wasnt as bad with money as barb was. He never put his to good use but neither did barb.
