Dude i love your SC info, but dear god please turn down the subbing and donating noise, im hear to listen to you, not the noises you made for that stuff. No one will care if its turned down 50 percent. Its crazy you have it at the same level as your audio. Its extremely frustrating when im working and i have to keep going back because you "num num num" completly drowns out whatever your saying....

THIS! Tomato please listen, there are a lot of us who loves your deep calming voice when we work, game or whatever, those notifications can stay on the livestreams, but when you make videos it ruins everything. My concentration takes a hit, and i loose track of what you were saying. Please listen Mr and Mrs Tomato :)

@@sanctredWell yeah it really is, and he starts a ISC videos and goes to make himself ice water and we can hear it through the other mic, something is not right here. We are getting sleep deprived here Tomatoes...

Yes, it's really intrusive and takes away from the quality that I love about the stream. It doesn't sit well with the vibe of the channel. Please think about reducing or even eliminating these notifications. They're not needed. Thanks Tomato xxx

Good news! Notice NO dates Given which is better then it sounds, as when they Drop specific Dates is when they get in trouble.

I've noticed they haven't given specific dates since about 2016 2017. People just claim things were promised because they can't construct a real argument

I appreciate you doing a historical look at the development. I did not know a lot of that info you provided. I backed the game back in 2017 but left for several years. Its good to hear they are moving forward. Its a great time to get back involved. Thanks

Bring on the Bugs! So lets speculate...theres going to be 2 Big patches and then patch fixes & SQ42?( thats 2024) Next two big patches along with patch fixes & SQ42? (2025)(another big patch and then maybe 1.0 release 2026)

I'm gonna guess they'll probably squeeze a third patch in there before the end of 2024. But there will probably be plenty of bugs. And I bet SQ42 at CitCon

I do not get all the talk about 1.0, for me it seems so far out and the game is barely playable at the state it`s in, and we have quests that are bugged or unplayable, no rewards other than auec, nothing to use our cash on, server crashes, no professions are past tier 0,base building and crafting, the list goes on and on.

CIG making every mode in arena commander possible to have some quick action with working matchmaking, we can get mostly everything under one roof. No other game does this and CIG can be the first.

Thank you for pushing out this type of content and reviewing the weekly/monthly/quarterly SC updates. I barely have the free time to play the game, let alone look up updates myself so watching/listening your videos while I work definitely shines a better light of excitement about SC when people can’t/won’t look up the information themselves. Don’t fret about the audio issues the knob heads are talking about. It goes hand in hand with being a streamer. So, thank you for continuing to push out SC information making it more attainable.

We need Crafting. Maybe even make a 200% quality item max? I like Earth and Beyond crafting. 3 or 4 parts you create with Materials. You combine those parts for a Weapon, Shield, Reactor, Ammo. The more you craft, the higher the chance of making better equipment. The higher quality items you use, the higher the chance for a higher % quality.

FINALLY there's excitement again! After years of sleep, the whole environment has awakened. The Orgs have woken up from sleep, and are starting to play again and many people are playing gameplay. Finally something is moving, there is excitement!

I hope they reconsider their initial plans of having the Halo asteroid belt form an impenetrable barrier in the Stanton system. A belt across the elliptic plane could be easily bypassed by flying above or below the elliptic, while a spherical asteroid shell would be too fantastical (at least to me).

It's seemingly so tall that the time it adds to the trip isn't worth skipping the "highway" through the belt for most people. Smuggler's playground.

I would normally poo all over these 'usual empty promises' in the LftC, except I was among the evos that jumped between Stanton and Pyro a couple of weeks back. I have not been this excited for SC in a very long time. And even if most of CRs letter is ends up being useless fluff, I know that jump points are coming. The CIG developers are now determined to make this happen and they are moving quickly on it. I think that it's an understatement to say that CIG is also re-energized with this. Is the boulder rolling downhill? I don't know but I do know that you better prepare to make the jump.

I love these videos! And it is future proofing for where the game came from and where it will likely get to. It feels like a historical on the fly documentary that also informs us on game progress and why decisions were made. Makes me super less angry lol.

CIG if you wanna talk big about all the things coming then let it all roll out BEFORE special event "gameplay" thats tied to ship sales. its gonna be a huge slap when we put our money into it again just to get stuck with months of game breaking issues yet again

Until I can get up out of the seats or fully explore my ships with out ending up in space with the ship flying off into the sunset they need to forget full release and the insurance beyond what the game already has.

tomato the "normal" for the first update of the year is April (Q2) so having Q2 there in the card is totally expected, if you look up the past 4 years all updates came in APRIL with one update coming out in March (3.18 i believe). It is really not that big of a deal maybe they just understand it always comes out in Q2 so thats what they decided to put there, with so many changes happening i find that completely possible.

Yep! I covered this in the video! Usually each quarter patch comes out in the following month. So the timing is normal, but the distinction is not. Interesting!

The tech walls we have been stuck behind are about out of our way. The stuff they need to add after those walls are down are standard gaming stuff. It has been done many times in many games so they can get a much more accurate time frame. PES just shattered there time line when it had those problems. It happens. As long as we do not have a major issue with server meshing we should be in good shape for 1.0 in an few years.

Backed in 2012, disappointed on a lack of features they claimed would one day exist, though I’m glad it’s made it this far, so I am happy maybe there is still going to be some of the systems so maybe those black hole systems, goss and other places will exist😊

Im not sure why ppl would feel bad in any way that sq42-stuff is mainly made behind the scenes. CR said from the very start and several times after that that they will not share alot from sq42 because of spoilers.

The performance per server was not really better, apparently they raised to limit to see how things will break and if they will recover. Not a fun gameplay experience unless you have the same penchant for a masochistic experience like basically all evocati players are required to have. ;-)

Yeah, performance per server probably won't be any better until they are splitting the same space as we have now. Stanton split into 4 servers might give better resutls, but even then they'll probably increase player counts.

Absolutely not nearby! But the letter also discusses the next patch. This letter is about 3.23, 4.0, and the long term goal of Star Citizen 1.0

They have to push now the market is ripe with all the space games coming out and people leaning toward favoring them. This is a wave that if they don't come out and solidify the game as a foundation to players, they will miss the chance they need to grab and keep all the new players for the next wave and years to come.
