Once the old rubber ones get hard, there is no stopping them from leaking. Great upgrade!

I took the loader off today. The engine is staying much drier in that area with the new Ts.

Chris, hopefully before long you have everything fixed up on the 1750. Thanks Michael

Case uses the metal ones too. They work great. I have several tractors here that use them

It is Sunday!!!! Special tools? We had one of the famous Globemaster tools and etc. displays. It was easy to just grab one of those tools and modify them for special needs. Today, in my old age special tools have sometimes survived a son and grandson because they had no need for them. Snap-On does not replace lost tools for free. Plus when you get to the point where you have most of the common tools they sell and the fact that repair shops have disappeared the dealers have to travel farther and quicker. I have a collection of broken Snap-On tools but finding some guy who the Snappy guy stops at to have them to replace them is nye on impossible. So, Harbor Freight gets business selling its Icon line of professional tools. Their toolboxes are a better deal as I could buy a whole wall of them for what I paid for my Tamale Wagon Pit toolbox made to behind a golf cart. I was amazed that a young guy like you actually did some work without rubber gloves. Exhaust manifold bolt/nut torque. The Chrysler Slant-6 had a max torque of 10 lb. ft. and if you tightened them tighter than that you could guarantee a broken manifold.

Great upgrade to the original tees. When you said the part about not selling your stuff, I thought about the video we shot of Ross's fenders “everything's for sale” 😂

The 1655 was direct injection very high pressure in the combustion chamber I know that one only has port injection but still bolt stretch and will not stay torqued

Another job well done. Had to replace the head gasket on the 1750 I had. Had it on the dyno once and it was putting out 100 hp. Might have contributed the need of a head gasket, but who knows. Yours is a nice one. I sure do miss mine.

I think they are one of the most underappreciated Olvers out there.

Well looks like ol Ollie has something in common with my 4020. Mine has pencil injectors. The 4010 and very early 4020s were different. The return line on the 4020 uses a straight rubber boot with the same ring clamps. They worked fine but if you have to disturb them, plan on replacing them. I have a new set in the parts bin. The bad thing about the 4020 is the return line is one piece so if you need to do something to one you have to disturb them all.

Sounds familiar, there's no such thing as replacing just one.

When you do the head gasket replace the head bolts as well because they are stretched😂 because our 1655 you will blowout the head gasket in 50 hours
@ThatOliverGuyChris16 күн бұрын
I'm planning on it. I think this should have 9/16 bolts, later was 5/8. I'll wait until I have them out to order new ones.

I remember some video where a guy used the start the tractor muffler removal technique to get the muffler off. That seemed easier 😂

It always scares me pulling exhaust manifolds of. I gotta do the one on the Cat engine in my truck soon because it's leaking, and i have a feeling it's gonna be more sadness then even Ross can drum up 🤣🤣. My 66 was all full of carbon when i got it, and after i got it running correctly, i hooked it to the flail chopper and showed it no mercy. You could see the crap blowing out the exhaust, and it was painful every time a hot piece hit you.

Well, a guy has those little hiccup's at times that has to be repaired, I know I have and if you have equipment you're going to have issues. You took care of the issue so there's that, being it's been a while, maybe you have a better idea of what's causing the pressure in the coolant. Thanks and have a great day!

Is there any difference in the hydro power mounting and the over under one
@ThatOliverGuyChris17 күн бұрын
Yes and no. The over under will fit in the same space as the hydra power, but there are some differences between the input shaft length and bell housing, depending on which engine it has. For example, the input shaft for an 1850 diesel is about a quarter inch shorter than the 1850 gas because the diesel is a Perkins, and the gas is a Waukesha. Also, the 1550 and 1650 have a smaller diameter input shaft on both the hydra power and the over under.
@whiteeagletrans985017 күн бұрын
Ok cause I was thinking on getting a 1650 diesel it has a hydo power in it now would you change it to a over under
@ThatOliverGuyChris17 күн бұрын
@whiteeagletrans9850 if you can get an over under out of a late 1650 or a 1655, it will drop in with no modifications. If it's from a 17xx or bigger, you'd have to swap the input shaft and bell housing.
@jamieebersole675517 күн бұрын
@ThatOliverGuyChris are all the Waukesha ones a little longer then an 1850 diesel?
@ThatOliverGuyChris17 күн бұрын
@jamieebersole6755 yes. A lot of guys just cut a quarter off the end, grind off the same amount of splines, swap bell housings and they're good to go. I think the Detroits use the shorter shaft as well, and the Cat V8s have a shaft that is an inch or so longer than the Waukesha version.
