We almost lost Chris to Covid. He had a complication, and lost his ability to walk for a while. My sister and my cousin met him long before he was famous, and said he's a super nice guy. He's also a blazing guitar player- the solo to "Ride Like The Wind" is him, and it's killer.

Christopher Cross is an amazing artist and this is my favorite song by him however I haven't heard a song by him that I didn't love. His music speaks to the soul and his voice only compliments it. This is an excellent song for a wedding especially if you get married in beautiful New York City. 👍

One of the best examples of a successful movie theme song. It made you want to see the movie when you heard it on the radio, and then after seeing it, it made you nostalgic for the movie. It was the end of the era when big hit movies came one at a time and there were long lines at theaters for the latest must-see productions, before there were home video stores.

C/D, Never Be The Same- Christopher Cross is another great slow jam from him. Pretty sure both of you would like it. Love to see your reaction to that classic tune from 79’. Great reaction to this 81’ banger!

Peter Allen famously said he contributed one line, and that was 'When you get caught between the moon and New York City' etc, as his plane was in a holding pattern over the Big Apple and waiting to land..... then got an Oscar for it

Loved this song, it was the soundtrack from the 1981 comedy film "Arthur" starring the late legendary comedian Dudley Moore. There was remake in 2011 starring Russell Brand but I never saw that but loved the original film it's a classic. Great reaction.

This dude was headed for Arthur-like wealth and fame and the audience just changed right as he came up. If he started even 5 years earlier, he is a household name. (Also his producer's left half his talent on the cutting room, fade out, floor)

Ride Like the Wind should be next for both of you. There’s a killer guitar solo courtesy of Chris, that will blow you away. He might be one of the most underrated guitarists in history. Rick Beato thinks so. Check out his What Makes This Song Great episode on that guitar solo. Another fun reaction you two. 🎸✌️

I remember when Christopher Cross's first album came out in 1979 & we all bought a copy. The whole album was good with one hit after another including "Ride Like The Wind", Sailing", "Never Be the Same", "Say You'll Be Mine" etc. He won 4 Grammy Awards for it. He released a 2nd album in 1983 with a few hits on it such as "Think Of Laura" & "All Right". But sadly after that his fame declined. Success came quickly, all at once & then suddenly faded. Too bad as he was very talented.

The amazing part of it is to stop and listen and pick out all the different instruments. Then you begin to realize the size of the production and how that there are 5 people you don't see for everyone you do in the band.
