Just purchased a 73 plate C5 Aircross automatic and am very impressed. Good space and comfort, with enough power in engine to deal with all situations. Solid build quality, and it is really good to sit in a car that is so quiet to travel in and which cossets the passengers. Citroen appears to stress its family friendly nature, but it is also does the job very well for me, my wife with a dodgy back, and a Border Collie. Recommend without hesitation a test drive (no, I don't work for Citroen!).

A nice balance review. I currently drive and EV and with no charge point at home as an option, the reality of sitting at a charge point is not fun, especially when it’s not at your supermarket and you sit there on a cold miserable winters day. So, I went to looking for a comfortable hybrid petrol car with no plugin nonsense and decided to take a C5 Aircross E Series for an extended test drive. The comfort was so welcomed. I’ve never driven a car this comfortable. I loved driving this car so much I’ve ordered one!

An underrated car ... I owned a Kia Sportage DCT and threw it overboard for a C5 EAT 8 1.5 HDI in an instant after experiencing the drive comfort... I have had people stop me 3 times since 2021 asking how comfortable it is.. admittedly all older people like me ( 50 plus) but ALL valued comfort and reliability over anything else... and after 4 years ownership from 8k to 46k miles from 2021 to now I can say my C5 has cost not a penny in repairs. Other than new tires it's cost nothing beyond servicing and still runs in the factory fitted brakes... FANTASTIC car.

Really smart design on the rear seats! I used to have a Nissan Cube with sliding seats like that and it was super useful! I wish more cars had this.

I've just ordered mine and pick it up in a few weeks. I was considering a 1 year old phev at around the same price but given i'll probably have the car 4-5 years then the upfront cost of a wall charger, year of MOT and service, and also the depreciation over that time (which seems higher for the phev as battery performance drops) meant the sums didn't work out, even factoring in the cost of petrol. Most of our journeys are around town but once or twice a month we see family which is a 90 mile round trip and every couple of months family who are a 400 mile round trip and so those would become quite expensive trips on the phev! With 3 children there is no other 5 seater that deals with 3 car seats along the back so easily. Looking forward to picking it up and will be sad to say goodbye to my old one that's served me well through the last two kids!

Definitelly an SUV for a young mom ... to drive her kids to the school or kindergarden, shopping, errands. 👍 And ... in this scenario ... a PHEV will be preferable ... even if the young family lives in an apartment. After all, a charging station is just a bunch of electric cables ... so, a solution for charging during night can be put in the block's parking ... with the cable plugged-in ... up, in the apartment's dedicated socket. 🙂 Having the battery full ... every single morning ... she will no longer need to fill the tank on her way to kindergarden - so, to leave the kids in the car - to pay the fuel. Convenience, economy, safety. 👍👍👍
@laurentiutrifan81739 ай бұрын
What I would do, though ... as an up-grade 😉... would be to change the seats configuration ... the rear bench - > in the front ... and the front seats -> in the back ... in 69 configuration 🤭(for the bigger boys of the family - in order to put some distance between them ... to limit the punching opportunities 😃). The rear bench moved in the front (with the central console moved in the back, too) ... would create the possibility for the young mom to have the little one at her left hand (or at her right one - in the continental Europe) - in the child car seat - mounted to face the kid's mom. Being face-to-face all the time ... both of them - the kid & the mom - will be more relaxed, without the separation anxiety. 🙂

It’s £31,490.00 but ‘we buy any car’ checking something isn’t really an accurate price, it’s trade after-all. Cheapest brand new car, they’re £25,000 on Autotrader.

While the car is comfortable to drive, I've been disappointed with ongoing issues with the sat nav and inaccurate MPG statistics. Despite multiple service attempts, they haven't been able to fix these problems. It's frustrating, especially for a car at this price point. car issue: kzbin.infokVpGcNZMi0s

The calculation on the central statistics screen is wrong, and all I heard from the service is that it's just how the car is. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rKnTZ5WqhZhqapo
