Yes....! The great "acetastinmotivatin' Pepsi ads, the cool Cresta ads, the wonderful Martini ads (great musical theme!), and that Manikin advert I haven't seen since the 70s! Actually, what you see here is a revised version. The original (of which I used to have a 35mm print, because I worked with film commercials back then), had a rather heavier graunchy version of this music, without the girl vocal, which I liked better - and, believe it or not, the soundtrack was credited as Manfred Mann!

That squirrel ice cream car crash promo is what you'd get if David Lynch was asked to make a PIF. The Martini jingle is very pretty. I didn't realize they were already doing those big musical production number type ads for stuff like jeans by the '70s. That commercial looks much closer to the '80s. Was it near the end of the decade?

Clunk, click or unzip, plimp.... Ugh remember at the time everyone loved Saville its a shame cause he sounds genuine. Probably why he got away with it for so long. It's easy to hold up our standards to the 70s, the good and bad. My favorite being an American is the unigate adverts. I wish we would make better jingles and more of a basic advert. These days you get adverts/commercials jammed in your face every second of every day. What a simpler time. I have had the Humphreys jingle in my head for 2 weeks now. Lol. You do wonder who might currently be high-profile for BBC or ITV or SKY or whatever who's getting away with the sort of thing now and who, if Savile is any indication, might be getting protection from people higher up the ladder who are covering their back and enabling it. Being reminided that this has happened - high-value TV star protected by corrupt TV execs and politicians is allowed to get away with it, big-time
