Always enjoyed watching these videos. Im 28 from the Fiji Islands, tackling various repairs for friends (3 LR4s) and for my LR3 which I recently purchased. Doing complete suspension bushings and ball joints on 1 this week along with timming and fuel pump belts on 2 LR4 SDV6, 3 6HP services (ordered everything new from ZF) and an oil pump on one of the SDV6 engines. I was scared until i came across your videos and I am ready to tackle all the repairs head on! Im greatful for you sharing your knowledge with us all! Appreciate all you do for us!

Great video as usual to start a Sunday. On the lamps the "K" value is just the colour temperature so the new lamps you put in were a whiter or more towards daylight colour. If you want a more powerful lamp you look at the Lumen output figure but it gets to a point where reflector design is the limiting factor and it may not meet regulations and cause on coming drivers a problem. Here in the UK regulations are still based on lamp wattage not Lumen output so with LED's and Xenon (Discharge) lamps it's a "free for all" and driving at night is pretty unpleasant...
@sssssneakerАй бұрын
6300K is on the "blue" side of daylight and the only reason they make them like that is marketing, it does nothing to improve visibility, just the opposite actually. I'd stick with 5000k max.

Interesting video 👍 Those Osram headlights are excellent - but the blue ones are bright, but not so good in the wet. I have the Osram Night Breaker ones in mine, very bright and better in the wet than the blue ones - they are up to 200% brighter, 250m reach and 20% whiter that standard. I like them. 👍

I had a very similar problem with my 2010 RR Sport. Nothing was obviously loose or worn out. We replaced everything we could think of, but the intermittent Clunking noise would not disappear. Then about a year ago the vehicle was due for an MOT and there was a very slight movement in the front left wheel bearing, so we replaced both the left and right wheel bearings. No more Clunking ever since then! I’m so relieved but also very annoyed at all the money I have spent on changing all the bushes and joints that weren’t the problem

Great video Vera and Christian, so interesting to watch mechanics at work and two very talented sons!, been a Landrover user for years and yes there are problems, I have 2 Range Rover Sport at the moment a 2014 with 34k miles and immaculate and a 2018 and love them, previously we had 2 Velars 2.0L mild hybrids whilst a nice car the engines were appalling and we got rid after 9 months, my niece also had one but the engine died on Friday so I looked up online the 1000’s of people who have issues with the ingenium engines this looks like it’s going to develop into another issue like the 2.7 in the D3 has been.

It is importantly to use good quality bulbs. Twice now I have had a problem on my automatic D3 on which both the side brake light bulb filaments have blown. This meant that when the side/main lights are switched on that the middle, upper rear door, brake light strip will illuminate even though the brakes are not applied. But more seriously, the automatic gearbox will not up-shift to a higher gear because the vehicle thinks that the brakes are being applied, therefore it should not try to upshift. Replacing both the (upper) tail/brake light bulbs for new ones cures the problem. However, unless you use a quality brand such as Osram, they will both blow again within two years. If one blows there is no problem with the gears up-shifting. As soon as the car will not automatically gear up-shift when the side/main lights are switched on, you will know that both side brake light bulbs have blown. Always use a good brand of bulb to avoid this problem.

Those spanners are called "shifters", as you can shift the size. A monkey wrench is the self gripping pipe wrench used by plumbers who are not usually engineers commonly called a set of Stilsons in the UK after the popular brand. But do you know the difference between a metric and imperial adjustable spanner? The thumb screw to shift the size is left hand thread on one but right hand thread on the other and that's why I always end up shifting it the wrong way and then have to go back again. I try and keep all mine together as the same but I still do it wrong in use.
@philhealey4443Ай бұрын
Don't plumbers use water pump pliers ? Stillsons would be in pipe fitter territory ? All topical as I've been idly pondering lately on when Mole lost their grip on their patent.
