Great to follow this trip. I walked the C2C a few years ago and know the Lakes very well. Will enjoy seeing places I know and remind myself re memories as you walk east.

It's the reason I started long distance trails, I saw a documentary on TV about it and wanted to do it myself. It was great to finally tick it off, but I must be honest I did not enjoy it as much as I had hoped. Much preferred the PW myself. Still some stunning scenery though. Thanks for watching.m Atb Shaun

Excellent part 1 Shaun , making good progress and at least its raining at night so far . Those little food stops along the way are always a moral booster and seeing civilisation also lol . look forward to part 2 atb Dave

Hi Jeff. The Lake District section was a bit of a killer, but yes I must agree very pleasing on the eye though. Thanks for watching. Atb Shaun.

You got your tent up just in time to get your head down Shaun. Perhaps that's an Oman for the walk. I gotta say a fair few butty's already. You gonna get fitter or what? Ha ha! Well, a bit steamy out but good out the blocks. All the best. Mark

One of the things I like about long distance trails, eat like a king cos you're going to burn it off anyway! 😂 lost about 5 kg doing this walk. It was an omen mate, stay tuned! Lol. Thanks for watching. Atb Shaun

@@BASHADweller Yeah that is true Shaun - you can eat a shed load. I've got part 2 lined up. Interested to see what the Oman is. A pleasure to watch.

You've made my night I've been waiting for this upload since you finished the walk and I've really enjoyed it , I think this walk is the hardest of the listed walks with the terrain your up then down then up again physically demanding really tests your fitness and endurance but well worth the effort I'm pleased you followed tradition with the pebble in the irish sea very enjoyable video looking forward to part two thanks for sharing shaun ♠️

Glad to hear it Norman. It was a tough one and a few days I did not enjoy if I'm honest. I never thought I would be glad to see the back of the Lake District, but I just about had my fill by the time I passed through it. Yes, taking a pebble was a must for me. Thanks for watching and commenting, always nice to hear from you. Atb Shaun

Enjoyed day one and subbed as I’m looking forward to watching the rest of the series. This is a trail on my to do list. Just done the Cleveland Way and bumped into a few people doing the coast to coast. Thanks for sharing the videos as it provides a great insight into what to expect

Glad you enjoyed it mate and thanks for the sub. Not my favourite trail to be honest with you, it is nice don't get me wrong but I much preferred the Pennine Way. I attempted the Cleveland Way last November but I was feeling very ill so sacked it at Clay Bank Top car park. I need to go back an conquer it. Thanks for watching. Atb Shaun

BASHA Dweller I really enjoyed the Cleveland Way, although I did have to bail at mile 90 due to bloody shin splints ☹️. The Pennine Way is at the top of my list for 2021, although I’m going to be much more sensible on daily distances. 22 miles a day isn’t a great idea as my shin decided to let me know. Appreciate the reply 👍

BASHA Dweller yes I just need to pick a time when I can take as long as I want, might set a record for the slowest time on trail 🤣🤣🤣
