I don't think I've ever seen De Niro more comfortable on a talk show than on this one. A testament to Stephen's greatness as a talk show host.

It also means they are enjoying that drink, I would hope, as well. Instead of pounding it to get blitzed or drinking it to be part of the norm. I feel like any good drink deserves a nice pause to enjoy the flavor and texture to it. I know that's what I did when I tried an 18 year old scotch for the first time. =)

Parts of him remind me of a generation of my cousins who are no longer here. Parts of Pacino reminds me of a generation of my cousins who are still alive but are now seniors. Something about De Niro that reminds me of my father but I can't pin point it. My father wasn't quiet and we were a loud family. It will come to me someday. But yeah, he's amazing.

Here's where Colbert really shines as an interviewer - he just knows his guests. That pause was much more comfortable than Fallon (no disrespect) trying to wedge more conversation in; they could just sit and enjoy the sake, and he let de Niro break the silence. Very Craig Ferguson. I feel like de Niro is a very difficult man to interview properly. Some guests overflow with energy and enthusiasm and are very easy to interview (Terry Crews, Craig Ferguson, Denis Leary, David Sedaris), and some aren't.

And it's based on the views/popularity so these videos will always get dislikes quickly. But I too bet you are right about some dislikes coming from subs because this content is linked to politics.

I didn't know that, but I like that kind of silent advertising. Instead of flashing lights blaring out "THIS IS BOB'S BRAND", he just turned his glass a little bit. So if you got it, you got it. And if you didn't, you still got curious about the drink. It's classy.

Channel T if you pronounced it trying to preserve the Japanese sound your dad is correct. But we always create an American way to pronounce foreign words. Like IKEA in the US is pronounced eye-kay-ah whereas if you preserve the Swedish sound it's ee-kay-ah.
