I'm a 37yr guy, i've never had any muscle or bone pain or issues that I can remember up to today. I injured myself at the gym while doing leg exercises, to be specific I was doing thigh abduction workout on the machine and also dead lifts. My back gave out first then when that seemed to begin healing I began to have severe pain on my left hip area, it was so painful I had to rush to urgent care. I received Norco and Prednisone prescriptions. I've been off work for about 3 weeks. I also got an x-ray done last week and was told it appears I have bursitis of the trochanter, and got blood analysis which I'm going back for results tomorrow. It's extremely painful and uncomfortable to walk and bear weight on the left leg and even to sit up for long periods. I'm just now tired of laying down and not being able to get around or do my normal routines anymore so I came here to see if I can help myself out if I can. Thank you guys for providing your knowledge to us strangers. Even if this doesn't end up curing my pain I am thankful there are people like you out there on the tube.

Bob and Brad save me again... so last week shoulder pain (left side) was my main issue. 51 years old. to oversimplify if the joint isn't in alignment bones and such can rub, cause cartilage or soft tissue damage over time if misaligned and yes contact nerves either by swelling or actual contact. yes oversimplification but that's how i imagine it. Refer to Bob and Brad for actual info. so last week they saved me and this week ill report my shoulder feels like i can get to rehabilitation because the inflammation is down and it is staying aligned. (key) fast forward to 15 minutes ago... this week again left side from a lot of walking in misaligned the left hip is giving me agony. can't even sit yesterday for too long. so i watch the video above that shows 7 home solutions.. sneak peak it work....i didn't even get to number 3.... number two brad hip extensions. i lay down on the same type of massage table i have at home and i extend my hip and it go's POOOOOOOOOOOOOOP and not a bad pop.... the most glorious POP in my most recent memories. Immediately in is in place and the nerve pain... gone.. i can sit i can stand i can rotate i can do a jig.... that might happen btw. its amazing... not even kidding. 51 years old again. most of my issues are on my left side...i think i have arthritis asymmetric because it is on my left side that i always have issues. idk. what i do know is if something is tight you can easily get out of place if the joint isn't healthy. Now i can know what to do before and after movement. that pop and the previous pain was a sign in my mind the left hip was not in place.. thanks again bob and brad. i am just going to assume they are my PT s from here on out. IF i ever hit the LOTTO i might have to make a grand gesture. (don't hold your breathe lol) its gonna be a GREAT DAY!

Hi guys, you guys give a LOT better advice/exercises than the multiple physical therapists that I've been to. The PTs i have gone to just do the minimum and it's like they're bored and just do the same useless things, and they aren't REALLY interested in the patient. You guys are so good and you CARE!! Thank you!

So true, and they charge a lot of money. That adds up in a month when it's twice a week. I love Bob and Brad, they have helped me. It's the same and even better than going to therapists because you can do the exercises in your home and it's free.

Thank you so much for wonderful stretches, information and hope you guys give. The positivity I find watching you both is so helpful. I often can get down with aches and pains etc, but doing your stretches, exercises and hearing that many people have same issues is so very helpful. Thank you, Happy Holidays to you and your families.

Wow, I can't believe that all of the stretches and methods you guys recommended besides the foam roller were ones I came up with myself before I was diagnosed. It's crazy that pain can make you toss and turn until you find a way to stretch a specific muscle! Thank you guys, maybe now I won't be so scared of surgery now that I know that the stretches I was doing were actually good for my back/piriformis? problem.

I'm going to try some of these. I've had pain in my hips for years, even though apparently there's nothing wrong with them. However, I know that the "figure 4" stretch will be excruciating, and then my hips will deeply hurt for several days, so that's out.

Everything you detail is helpful. Love to the sharing of why and what and what else could be going on… I’ve always thought a every other or every yr check up should be a pasty of healthcare. Many of us do not realize how we walk, how we lift r all backwards. If we have anything tight or slow healing we need to see a PT plain and simple

Ordered both massage guns over Thanksgiving. The more 💰 one was backordered (arriving today) but the handheld arrived immediately and SO GLAD I ordered it! Don’t be fooled by the low price into thinking it’s a cheap toy. It is a substantial massage gun in every way from fit and finish to the multitude of modes/speeds to the many ways it can be grasped and applied to the body. The 5 different head shapes are all useful, the long handle allows reaching the bottom of your feet and areas of your back it would be difficult to reach alone. Delighted in every way with this purchase. 5 ⭐️

@anniebeanie7103 жыл бұрын
i wonder is this all safe with hypermobility? For example I have no problem to just casually put one leg on the other (over the hip) when sitting but it resulted few times in pretty very bad hip pain (especially when i aditionally placed something over my legs like a box of whatever i was decluttering ...) so i am avoiding that like a plague since.
@truthfinder69324 жыл бұрын
Please, show on your body where pain is. What if pain on outer hip after bending over to pick something up or sitting on floor, then get up. Right hip is stuck for a few minutes but once it releases all is good. Tendon/ligament stuck in wrong place ????
@MrsMarks4 жыл бұрын
Glad you asked this question. I injured myself 6 months ago after watching this channel and doing "clamshell" exercises in bed.. (for piriformis pain) which I'm sure they said NOT TO DO. I was unable to pick my foot up off of the floor for about 24/36 hours and had pain on the side and towards the back and lower area of my hip. Most of my discomfort cleared up pretty quickly but I do have lingering tightness and tenderness, at times. I was saying, while watching this video, that I wish they would point out exactly which muscle is being affected by each stretch.. glad I'm not the only one! Use a little caution when trying ANY of these things at home. Good news.. my piriformis pain is gone.. walking gave me the biggest benefit in helping that.
