I have Sun/Venus opposite Pluto. He has Pluto as the focal point of a T-Square. We have composite Pluto (partile quincunx Mars) on the ascendant. I have said numerous times in this connection that he is a gift. My connection to him has brought up so many things I have needed to work out about myself and I have been able to do that successfully with him. I don’t know that he has really worked much out for himself. We recently got into a discussion in which it was very obvious to me that we just see and do life from completely different perspectives (my Neptune is on his ascendant, his Neptune is on my moon, which is my chart ruler). It feels like an insurmountable obstacle to me. I’m aware that it just might mean that the transformation this relationship was intended to initiate is complete. This is so true!!! I was in a relationship with a man twice my age at 21. We were together for 5 years. We were so clingy with each other. Then after it ended we still got together and had sex. He still-after all these years tries to stay in contact with me. There was so much manipulation between us. People around us reacted VERY intensely to us as well. @@themoonbleu627 because it had to. It was toxic. But also - the aspects in my chart led me to move on and towards another kind of relationship- that was when transiting Pluto entered my 7th house. The new kind of relationship lasted the duration of my Pluto 7th house transit and it helped me see relationships differently. THAT 7th house relationship ended when Pluto crossed over into the 8th a 2nd time after a short dip back into my 7th. It only ended because my Pluto 7th house partner died - which was a very Pluto 8th house experience for me. The past years since Pluto has been in my 8th it’s been all about letting go. Many deaths of all kinds - felt like a recurrent ripping open. But now I am transformed - COMPLETELY! Who I was even four years ago when I first wrote this initial comment - Is long gone.

Something else I notice about this configuration is when you two are together it is VERY triggering for others. I have this with a guy I met at work some 5 yrs ago & we’ve been on & off. We had an affair, he’s now divorced but is engaged again & after a bit of a break we picked up right where we left off. Not only do we have Pluto @ zero degrees in Scorpio conjuncting the ascendant, the chart is also heavily fixed earth/water, with a yod thrown in. We basically agreed to keep seeing each other despite his current situation. It’s fucked up but it’s so hard to walk away from each other. I suspect he’s narcissistic, but we’ve never lived together so I don’t know what he’s really like outside of the time we spend together. We act like addicts & over time it’s like we need another “hit” of each to get thru until the next time we see each other. I honestly wouldn’t wish this on anyone.

I have this conjunction in my composite chart with my ex. I've known my ex for 30 years now, which says something about the durability of Pluto. In synastry, his Pluto is conjunct my Moon, which is an aspect I have natally, and my south node is conjunct his Sun. He and I met when we were teenagers and married when I was 17 and he was 19, so no age difference. There was a significant difference in our IQs, maturity levels, and mental stability, though, and unfortunately he was lacking in those areas. There was no great sex, soulmate feeling, or passionate attraction at all between us, but the ascendant sign of the chart is in late Virgo. I actually think Virgo enhances the potential for the abuse of power and of inequality in the partnership characterized by Pluto. It was a VERY abusive and chaotic 10-year marriage in every respect- emotional, physical, and financial, with me being the recipient of all of the abuse and his chronic inability to work or accept responsibility. I take responsibility for choosing to be with him, and the damage seeing an abusive relationship had on our two children. He was a psychological composite of both of my parents' worst traits. In the marriage, I constantly demanded he live up to expectations he couldn't meet. I also constantly blamed myself and tried to change myself, thinking it would change him. The only positive to come from this is my personality completely transformed over a very long process. The need to control him or anyone else, or the need to change him or anyone else disappeared. I stopped blaming myself for others' problems and allowing myself to be scapegoated. We actually have a (platonic) stable, cooperative co-parenting relationship for the most part now, but I still have to set boundaries with him at times or he'll try to steal money from me.

I have this with a friend of mine. We have a very close relationship, almost symbiotic, which I don't like at all. We spend our time together discussing our daily problems, so there's a constant complaining about life and other people going on. I have pluto in the 1st house and exactly sextile venus, along with neptune square the ascendant so these pluto themed relationships, and pluto/empath relationships are a bit of a theme in my life. The 5 relationships in my life that have left the greatest impression on me (4 romantic, one friendship although admittedly I did think she was outstandingly cute when I first met her) have pluto conjunct or square the composite ascendant. The one where pluto was square the ascendant, and also square the sun, actually felt the least horrible, at least for me, as we have sun, moon, eros, saturn, venus, mercury conjunct. I also have pluto conjunct the composite ascendant with my mother (control issues galore!). What you said about control issues was spot on.

I'm simultaneously triggered & turned on by the guy I'm dating. And I recognize it's toxic and I struggle to release myself but I also just want to be ensnared. And he does just that. It's like he has me on a leash and isn't gonna let me go. Even in sleep when I move he holds me tight (& he sleeps like he's dead). @@k.c7655 in early August he brought up some emotional triggers and got all upset and we had this huge fight that I'm still not sure what it was about... since then we have been fighting every few months. I broke up w him cause I felt like he could care less (on my birthday no less). But then I kept trying to mKe it work or smooth things out cause I realized he's special to me and the weird shit I'm looking for or moreso what I find interesting... And we kept "breaking up". So I eventually was like ok, I just want to be friends w him then, that is what works. And then he's looking at things like we are a couple eventhough he states he doesn't want that and has accused me of doing things to pass him off and that I need to fix my behavior. But it's never about him somehow or his behaviors that I don't like aren't what's wrong. Lately it just feels like he's trying to control me (it's always felt like that in different ways) - control the way I respond to him so he feels better about himself. And I'm just done. I'm checked out. He has substance abuse issues and now he threw this left curve and wants all the affection and attention and only wants to feel good. And doesn't recognize he created the scenario now and simultaneously wants things to change immediately and pushes me away and cokes crawling back. And like wants to treat me like a committed boyfriend without commitment while he continues to use. And I continue to do what I want (like date others w him knowing) and act how my nervous system is gonna act and adjust accordingly to our conversations. But it's like not enough. He adjusts too, but also not in waves. It's just a lot of double standards and I feel like we are on different pages and it's confusing and toxic and I dunno how to stop cause h keeps coming back or I keep allowing or welcoming it. The last 2 days it's been him getting upset cause I'm not showing him affection in public and around my son when in the past he's clearly stated he didn't want a relationship or when I tried to be cozy w him he'd reject it. So my head is spinning and I don't really care at this point if I lose him or not. When I realize I just need to cold turkey his ass.

Oh and Yes... We had pluto square the MC. Pluto was conjunct Uranus in 1st house. He had a natal out of element grand trine between pluto in 9th in Leo, Mars in Capricorn and sun in Aries. I would not recommend this kind of relationship. Not for the faint of heart! With my ex, we had Pluto/AC conjunct in composite and Pluto/DC conjunct in Davison. I'm a Scorpio Sun (also with Mars in 8th) and his Scorpio Rising is exactly conjunct my sun at 29 degrees. He also has Moon Square Pluto in natal. We both have Moon Square Uranus in natals. He has three planets in my 7th and conjunct my Cap moon (Cap Sun, Mars, venus). We also had a mutual Vertex/AC conjunction in synastry and Vertex/DC conjunction in composite. Fated? It felt that way. It was very intense (and I loved it) ... but in addition to Pluto, we also had Uranus conjunct Pluto in each composite too. In Davison, Uranus fell in 7th house. In synastry, my Uranus falls in his 11th house. He is 10 yrs older too, as Jewel mentioned age difference. So it was very painful, with the off/on energy ... intense beginning with abrupt painful ending. I'm still dealing with the pain from breakup and have intense love/hate feelings towards him ... meanwhile he is in a relationship with another woman, which happened the day after breaking up (he'd just met her that week). He also has his moon in Gemini in 7th, conjunct his DC. I have my moon in 7th, conjunct DC as well, but it's in the more grounded, less fickle/indecisive, sign of Capricorn. This kind of worries me.. I wish someone could help me understand it better in a way that was safe. My friend and I both have pluto on the ascendant plus composite pluto on the ascendant. Both have jupitor moon conjuction in the 12th house both been through really bad negative stuff in life and we are coming together working through it. We are both empathic theres no sexual connection. It does feel transformative but I also feel really down in her presence maybe because we are pulling up stuff, but I feel we are getting somewhere out of addressing our issues. We bounce ideas off each other like two minds coming together to have greater understanding. And whilst astrology seems to have old wisdom it feels too complex to understand. i would say it depends on the orb- if you have pluto signatures in your synastry as well, maybe a 12th house conjunction to the ascendant up to 5 or 6° would apply.

Is it even possible and right to stay in such relationship, let's say, forever? It's the third time in a row I meet a person, whom I am dating now and we have Pluto on the ascendant. When I saw this the third time, I started laughing because I couldn't believe it happens again (in the future I will be able to rectify partners birth time hahah). I really don't want to be in such a relationship forever because it feels so evil, so bad, I can't even explain. If we don’t understand it when hints are subtle and/or we run away ... then the next time around it will just present itself with a nicer mask and more amazing sex, so we can no longer resist it. Empaths and narcissists are just two sides of the same coin - both afraid of abandonment and both insecure- both manipulate... I think when we learn who we are, are open about our needs and desires and have mo longer fear of abandonment then there is no need for such manipulation and perhaps no need for such (abusive) relationships. I think there is always a higher and lower expression of planetary functions so at the higher level Pluto is about healing and transformation while at the lower level it can be manipulation...and we meet the lower level (from the outside) in order to get frustrated (to see things) and essentially integrate the higher expression of it...
