To be perfectly frank, the SNES version was never released, so we got screwed both ways. Japan got the best BttF games, and we got all the shitty ones, especially the unholy duo from LJN on the NES.

What about comparing Nintendo's actor? Tbh, I don't know if I'm gonna miss Greg, because the way Pat adds another question to the "That's it are we doing this?" with the same question is great. Greg did not do that. Also, when Dan says a game was good for the Sega Genesis, Greg just said "No, it was better on the Super Nintendo!" Does not make sense. Does he think that game was bad or not? Pat fixes that entirely by saying "Right, but it was better on the Super Nintendo." Also, one little nitpick, I just think Pat's voice when debating that his game is better or worse is just better.

This reminds me of something I did as a kid. I had this sketch pad and I used every page but didn't have any more so I decided to go back to the old drawings and add something new to each one. I even did a "Where's Waldo" and hid small things in them for my brothers and sisters to try and find. I wish I still had that thing.

I can only guess that Vic Tokai didn't have the rights to bring it over to the West, or (more likely) that by the time 1993 rolled around the BTTF craze was dying down and no one saw much use in localizing and releasing the game outside Japan.

Licensing was an issue & even if it could, by the time the SNES BttF II game would have been translated , it would have been 1993 or 1994. 4 or 5 years after the second movie was released. I could also see Nintendo's censorship policies in the USA at the time being a problem. I don't think they would liked having a character being covered in manure at the time.

From what is know, the company never believed that the style would work in the Western so they only acquired the rights for a Japan only release.

3:27 would have been a perfect moment for Pat to respond with this memorable line from the franchise: "What are you talking about, Sega? All the best stuff is made (or released) in Japan!" Dan: Unbelievable. As for the games themselves, it was the opposite of a nail-biter. Just the graphics initially making me think the brightness was turned down too low and the fact that Probe Software made it were dead giveaways that Nintendo would win in QUITE the turnaround from LJN's NES game... another game that was so bad that even the movie's own co-writer Bob Gale publicly discouraged fans from buying that game when it was new.
