I've often done that! My solution: I have a chalk board on my fridge or wall with the menu and dishes I'm serving. That way guests know what they're having, what everything is, and I can tick off dishes to make sure I don't forget anything!

I worked in an Italian deli when I was younger and learned the value of having a large dry-erase board. Can't live without one in my home kitchen...even though I have a smartphone with virtual assistant and reminders. (I see in a comment someone suggested a whiteboard already. Truly wasn't copying their suggestion; dry-erase boards are simply terrific tools.) Furthermore, I couldn't cook or accomplish 1% of what Chetna does in a day, so hats off and much respect to Chetna.

Chetana if you don't want your pressure cooker to dirty your hob, there's a simple hack. Remove the whistle take some 2 or 3 kitchen papers and pierce through the proturbearance on which the whistle sits. The papers should cover the cooker lid. Then put the whistle back and cook as usual. You could also use a thick, clean cloth. But you might have to pierce a hole with a knife in the cloth and then place it on the pressure cooker.

Hi, Chetna, again your Indian subscriber here. You have an incredible kitchen. How long have you been in London? However, your preparation of mouthwatering Indian dishes are phenomenal. Your culinary expertise is outstanding. I love your presentation very much.😊

Been there done that mistake barely a month ago when I forgot the salad in the fridge, and it’s a terrible feeling!😭 I think I’m gonna do what another subscriber suggested and install a white board with the menu on it for my guests.. and for me! 🙃

Hey Chetna. I love your kitchen layout and design of cupboards/cabinets. Can you please tell me the width (from the sink side to the fridge side) of your kitchen as I maybe lucky enough for a kitchen makeover in the near future and would love to base it on yours, as I think it looks like the same size.

I know that the pressure cooker is a Traditional Indian one, but western Pressure Cookers are no where near as messy. Might be time to look into getting one. Great time saving tips though

lol I feel you. Last month, I had over company so made a basic roasted veg of swede, onion, sweet potato, and red beets. I made it the night before so it could soften and cool in the oven. 2 days later, I opened the oven to see my baking trays. 😶 To be fair, it smelled and looked fine, so I served it at dinner the rest of the week.

It has been typical of me to leave a salad, or the cranberry compote, or the bread rolls, half-cooked, in the fridge, until someone says, “oh hey, is there any_____? Such a red face!
