Thank you Steve for letting us know that we need to add some kind of nonstick spray or oil before cracking the egg into the silicone container. My egglette packaging came with no instructions and all of my eggs were stuck.

I bought these a year ago and forgot I had them. Found them in the drawer today and didn't know how to use them. Thanks for the video. I'll be using them now. I'll be making the omelet in the large size container. Steve gives super instructions.

To keep the eggletts from rolling over in the boiling water, I place bamboo skewers through the loops on the lids and place skewers across the top of the pan. Holds the containers perfectly upright.

Bought mine about three years ago. Just found them and found this video. The first one didn't pop out, but I used a small pot and kept putting it back in. Giving it another go in a large pot, so I can get a good boil. Thanks though.

Awesome! Just found a pack of six brand new at a thrift store for 50 cents today. I didn't know what it was so I was going to use them for ice cubes because that's what I was looking for until I open it up and saw engraving of a name. Honestly I thought it said gglet cause I can't see well lolll. So I'm glad I bought it. Can't wait to try them out

Egglettes work... Just thought I'd mention it. If you steam the eggs for 10-20 minutes and then drop them into cold water for a bit to cool them in the fridge. The shell slides right off or peels every time perfectly, I did 12 eggs in one shot and did not have an issue with even one. I used a Chinese bamboo woven basket on top of a pot of boiling water. I have Egglettes also but I find them messy and cumbersome using too much pam. Even soft boiled works if you use a spoon to crack the shell around the egg. Great tips though,

I just started cooking them in the microwave. Super weird concept, but they work great. Just use water AND SALT (can't forget that or they will explode) and cook them for 10 minutes for hard boiled and like 6-7 for soft boiled! You should do a video on that for you subs, because it's a really cool concept! It's great for people who want to have an egg at work!

Thank you! This is very nice! Shotgun Red must be thinking of me. I just bought a countertop burner last night. Then, last Christmas, Santa Claus brought my roommate egglettes for Christmas. She has yet to use. So, guess who is going to be making hard-boiled eggs! Me, myself and I. Now I can make an authentic macaroni salad, which I could never make before. By the way, Santa got the egglettes at Dollar Tree for $1.00 a package full.

Great demonstration. Informative and educational. I've never been a fan of hard-boiled eggs but you've made me want to experiment and try them. The Egglets are interesting. I'm wondering how I could work them into egg preparations. Thanks!

@CookingwithShotgunRed Жыл бұрын
Bring your eggs to room temperature before boiling. If the eggs are too cold, the shells may crack during cooking. Place the eggs in a saucepan of cold water

Very nice video. I like it that you did some variations and, I was wondering about all the added stuff when you were filling the omelets. If you had made three of the omelets with two eggs, do you think it would have cooked better?
