For me, this was the best video on this topic. What moves the video to the top is the really great video of the insides of the door. This really gives the needed perspective of what you're going to be looking at when you do this. Comment: At the very first, I'd remove the stainless steel trim that runs along off the top outside of the door. It's the trim that's right beside the glass. You need to remove this trim strip. It gives you a little more room to get the window glass out. Next, I think maybe the motor was removed too soon. This allows one of the arms of the regulator to spring up and sort of get in the way. There are holed drilled in the regulator gear plate and an arm of the regulator through which you can insert a bolt to prevent the spring from forcing the door track arm up into the air. If you look at the regulator when it's out, it's obvious where these holes are! Lastly, notice how quick the window when in, and compare with how difficult it was to remove it! I think taking the window out if done in reverse to putting it in, is the way to go! Also, not necessary, but I put a bit of paint around each bolt to mark where it's adjusted location. This is to help get ever thing aligned on re-assembly.

Thanks so much for the informative install video. It helped me dearly with my C3 windows. 10 hours later good to go ! Not bad for a 40 year old vette .Peace.

Great video and your mistakes are the kinds of mistakes that we all make. The fact that you didn't edit them out will help us all to understand what not to do as well as what we should do, thanks so very much.

hello from the Houston Space Center area. Thank you for making this video today I had to take the regulators and motors out of my 1976 Corvette because somehow the springs are in backwards so the windows would go down really really fast but they would go up slowly!! so now I have to try and figure out how to put the springs back in correctly.

It helps to mark where you originally started at with a sharpie marker. Then you always have a reference point at any given fastener.
