Anoushay Okhai I guess what I'm trying to say is that on one hand she's acting so depressed and upset about people making fun of her height, not having a boyfriend, etc. but then in the other hand she's got someone who supports her and genuinely likes her, in a normal mindset you would think she would at least appreciate him, treat him like a bff. However, from what I've seen in this series, she doesn't give two craps about the boy like he's not even there. It's frustrating for someone to be constantly making fun of, no doubt. If they had focused on real problems for tall people, like the struggle to find cute clothes that fit right, back pain due to having to constantly bend awkwardly over shorter surfaces, and having to duck under low doorways, the movie would've been more realistic and made tall girl more sympathetic. My sister(who actually auditioned for this movie, fun fact) is 6'3 and basically looks like female swiss guy from this movie. It is a real struggle to find cute shoes(she does actually wear a size 13 men's shoe) but she's never experienced any kind of harassment over her height. It would have been interesting if they explored the psychology of the main character as a girl that was brainwashed by a perfectionist father that her height makes her monstruous and undesirable, so the movie would be actually about her accepting that the problem is not her height but having a toxic father that refuse to accept her. You would have people being attracted to her and maybe even flirting, but she never catches it or understands it because initially cannot believe anyone finds her attractive because of how she was brought up. That could have been something. Instead we got a cryfest that says nothing, means nothing and does nothing for anyone.

Simple solution to Tall Girl’s problem: play a sport that relies on height somewhat. Basketball. Make your height into an asset.
