In a normal country, this would occur. We are talking about America here. Racism is baked into the system that half of the population refuses to admit. In fact, they become enraged with the mere suggestion that racism is a problem in America - now or ever. Nope! They insist on everyone seeing the world the way they want them to. Totally pathological.

The blacks are the ones playing the race card here. He was only remarking on it. This case was about 3 men trying to stop a suspected crook so that the on-duty cops could give him a trespass warning not to come back. Two of the men were former cops who knew him and had a previous experience convicting him on a previous crime.

I think think these guys on trial are guilty. But if I was the defense attorney, I would agree with him...I wouldn't want a famous black man like Jessie sitting right next to the family in the courtroom like that. They are clearly doing that to make an impact on the case otherwise, Jessie would show support by waiting outside, talking to the media etc. But to sit inside right next to the family is definitely going to make an impact on the jurors who are made up of average Joe's. The black jurors would definitely notice Jessie.

@@pkp6791 Handpicked jury? 🤔 What do you mean?
@pkp6791
@pkp6791 2 жыл бұрын
@@nadinekeating3255 The defense was allowed to essentially handpick a jury that aligns with how the defendants think. The demographic makeup of the jury is NOT consistent with the demographics of the county. Im surprised you know nothing about this as this has been all over the news. They have ONE Black person on the jury . The defense has tried on multiple occasions to have that juror removed. They have lied on her to the judge and claimed that she was lazy, falling asleep and not paying attention ( typically ignorant racial stereotypes from idiots like that defense team and defendants). Since neither the judge or any prosecutors witnessed that lie, the juror was kept in place. This jury makeup puts the defense at a distinct advantage, as the same pathological thinking that led to the murder is heavily represented on the jury. This IS personal for many people. Many people are simply sick and tired of the shenanigans around the ‘justice’ process that put certain people at unfair advantages for an acquittal -- while others suffer injustice as a result of the same kind of BS. Hope this clarifies exactly what has happened re: my initial comment.

She’s knows he’s not “brilliant”, but she also KNOWS that Bryant would likely appeal on the grounds of ineffective counsel, so she’s trying to nip that in the bud before it even happens. That one comment from her isn’t going to make or break his appeal for ineffective counsel, but it was interesting to see that she knows what’s coming and was trying to get out in front of that. If anyone in this courtroom was brilliant at their duties, it was absolutely her. She has been on top of everything, and I’m sure her team is also top notch, as no one person can catch every single scenario, so they all help drive the ball down the field and across the goal line. Good prosecution team. Definitely a lot better than the dreadful team that tried to get a guilty verdict against Kyle Rittenhouse.

But intelligence is separate from education though. The latter is more about how susceptible one is to the curriculum and indoctrination of authority figures. The former is the ability to choose between competing information streams (including ones other than those with which one was formally educated), and to then make wise, informed decisions. The problem here is neither intelligence nor education. It's ethics and legality.

If this case isn't a slap in the face of the reality that we have not come as far as we thought we have, then I don't know what is. What I do appreciate is the fact that people are coming together to embrace one another through these tragedies (that shouldn't even be happening). I've seen more people who aren't black just as hurt as us. Mr. Arbery's mom is getting support from all races. These cases make it so easy to hate, but more people are resisting that impulse. Giving into it makes you no different than those Defense attorneys and their clients. So proud of his mother for remaining dignified as they try everything they can to slander her baby. She reminds me of Emmett Till's mom. I hope she gets justice and I hope she can start to grieve her son properly without the bloodhounds nipping at her feet.

Think about how your father or son was thinking and feeling while being chased down. Their feelings having after running out of breath for their lives they last thoughts feelings an pain came a shotgun from a group of men because your father or son was looking in a house still under construction. Now ask yourself this. Those men who killed your father or son was it justifiable and were their reason for killing your father or son in self defense? Take race out of it. Take politics out of it. And think about if it were your father or son. What the verdict should be. Then sit back from that understanding and just watch an see if the justice system is really about justice.

C'mon... You can't expect a defense attorney to announce on live TV, the reason his client didn't take the stand... Not while the trial is still ongoing. Not before there's a verdict. I know that jurors are not *SUPPOSED* to watch or read anything pertaining to the case, but there's no way to ensure they don't. I find it so unbelievably childish how so many people (and yes, I'm talking about grown adult people lol) are letting their emotions get in the way of understanding that a defense attorney has one job to do... to defend their client and do whatever it takes to exonerate their client. He's doing exactly what he's supposed to do. All he can do is try to plant a seed of doubt in the jurors minds... He doesn't even have to be able to plant that seed of doubt in all twelve jurors. Attorney's (defense and prosecution) are just doing their job like everyone else. Defense attorney's have clients who they believe are guilty of the crime/crimes they were charged with, but they have to put their personal opinions aside and do their job. People are really taking this way to personal.

If you put aside bias and stick to the law, by attacking someone with a gun Aubrey was the only one who committed a crime that day.

Guilty for father and son but the friend should go free for video taping it. They would still be sitting at home right now of it wasn't for that video!

Yea but the reason Ahmaud ran towards the other truck was cause the 3rd guy (William Bryan) was speeding fast behind Ahmaud and then Bryan hit Ahmaud with his truck. If it wasn't for this 3rd guy Bryan, Ahmaud wouldnt have been trapped. The ONLY reason the video was shown in social media was cause this 3rd guy Bryan wanted to show everyone that they had to use self defense against this crazy aggressive Ahmaud. The funny thing is that it backfired on him cause the public didn't see Ahmaud as the aggressor.

Also, the cops and former prosecutor saw the video when it first happened but still didn't charge them cause Greg McMichael was friends with the former prosecutor. So the friend Bryan thought he was fine posting the video 2 months later cause he wanted to show everyone sooo bad how aggressive Ahmaud supposedly was

Roddy has a child molestation charges after this one and then a federal case for Amaud are you sure he should be free? Given the child molestation charges came from the search of Roddy's phone I'm inclined to believe he's actually guilty.

Nope he's just as guilty. Just because he wasn't directly involved in the killing doesn't mean he's not guilty under the law. You don't have to pull the trigger to be guilty of murder. Charles Manson never killed anyone. Should he have gone free too?

Arbury escalated the situation by trying to take the gun. If Arbury had just waited for the cops to arrive the only charge might have been trespassing. Arbury chose to gamble with his life.

Youd just let armed men bend you over and do whatever they wanted to you, wouldn't you? Your comment says more about you than it does AA.
