Another awesome video Glen. Where have you put your switch for the Nav lights?
@GCJetskiFishing6 жыл бұрын
Thanks David. All switches are on the front wall inside the glovebox. Cheers

How is the fish finder mounted to the glove box lid? I’m thinking of upgrading my fish finder to a larger one like yours. Thanks
@GCJetskiFishing6 жыл бұрын
A hole is cut in the glovebox lid so that the unit sits snugly in, and then it is sealed in using silicone. Thanks

hey buddy. where is your transducer installed? And which type. I would like to get the Downscan on my HDS Gen3 but current transducer is glued inside the hull and not a downscan type.
@GCJetskiFishing6 жыл бұрын
I have the elite HDI transducer, it's custom mounted under the bottom of the ski. You're easiest option would probably be a totalscan transducer

Awesome walkthrough of the JetSki bro. Very pro. What editing software are you using for all those cool effects.
@GCJetskiFishing7 жыл бұрын
I use Powerdirector 16, it's quite basic and user friendly, you could do the effect with any program. Just pause the video then take a screen shot, open screen shot in a picture editor (paint etc) to crop out the background, load edited pic into the video where you paused it and set picture time to say 5 seconds, then overlap picture with the video at start and finish to get the background fading in and out effect :) A bit hard to explain through typing haha

GC Jetski Fishing pretty cool man. Yeah I get what your saying. It sounds pretty basic but gives such an awesome effect. Nicely done bro.

Hi GC. I'm looking at installing one of those GME VHFs in my GTX. Can you let me know where you found space to mount the main unit? Are you still happy with it? Thanks again for the video.
@GCJetskiFishing6 жыл бұрын
If you open the seat, the front part of the opening in the hull is where I mounted the main unit, mounted upside down inside the hull bolted through the fibreglass
@crom29a6 жыл бұрын
Great! Thanks very much for getting back to me so quickly. Good luck for your next trip.

Awesome vids there bro , heaps of helpful info! Just picked up a seadoo gti 90 yesterday and looking to do a similar setup, Did you install the dual batteries and fish finder/transducer yourself?
@GCJetskiFishing7 жыл бұрын
Yes I did all the work myself. Where abouts do you live? If you are in New Zealand I would recommend www.kiwijetski.co.nz if you are looking at getting a fish finder setup, thats where I got mine from, he is great to deal with.
@jamalbrogan27267 жыл бұрын
GC Jetski Fishing yeah bro in nz live up Mangawhai, north of auckland. Sweet man I will have a look , cheers for the info!

GC Jetski Fishing Mate is your sounder the hook9 or Hook2 9? Hook 9 a bit big for my front hatch i think so might look at the 7s. Had the elite 7 in mind but touchscreen only may be problem out there?
@GCJetskiFishing7 жыл бұрын
Hey Jamal, it's the old one the hook 9, not the new hook2. I know alot of people with the elite ti on a jetski and they don't complain about the touch screen

Hey mate what brand were the extra rod holders you added?
@GCJetskiFishing6 жыл бұрын
Unsure of brand but they were just a universal stainless rod holder that I welded onto the kit

Thanks for the vid, will come in handy for many im sure. Is that footage at the end just some random debris floating in the ocean?
@GCJetskiFishing7 жыл бұрын
Thanks Worm. Yeah, it was a wooden log covered in small shellfish that I came across last year, had a few reef fish and a school of tiny fish hanging around it.
@lengerer7 жыл бұрын
GC Jetski Fishing very cool. Always something interesting in nature, even when the fish aren't biting

When your offshore do you time your day with high and low tide? meaning when l am 30 min out offshore does it matter if its high or low tide. I want to launch at 5am but its going to be low tide, doesn't low tide mean less fish? Thanks for the response, its been slow for ever body in Southern Calufornia
@GCJetskiFishing6 жыл бұрын
The only thing I might time is for bar crossings, because the bar will be calmer at slack tide. I go fishing whatever time I can :) although many people say that the fishing is better when the current is running
