In paternity tests, mother’s DNA is often taken to help quickly separate it in child’s DNA. There has been at least one case where a divorce paternity test had strange results, the husband was definitely the father, but the wife wasn’t the mother. Turned out that the mother was a chimera, she was a twin where the two fetuses had recombined into one person and her “twin” was the genetic mother.

It wasn't a divorce paternity case, she was trying to get food stamps and assistance and instead she got to fight for multiple years, as well as another child she had during the years of fighting, that the government stole from her and refused to give back even when ample evidence was provided, including video evidence iirc, all because nobody believed it was possible. By nobody i do of course mean the random people that weren't specialized in the field who got to decide on her and her childrens fate.

Fun fact: Most women I got to know over the years who tried a men's razor once never got back to using a women's razor. Apparently men's razors are a lot better for all sorts of skin you have around your body that you want to shave, with a lot lower risk of accidentally cutting yourself. Seems like shaving products for women are just a (sometimes painful) scam😅
@parkerknight8738 Жыл бұрын
I have a theory that, they make women’s razors duller and lower quality, because we’re ‘supposed to shave’, so we have to use them more often, thus having to replace them more often.
@mental_kintsugi Жыл бұрын
@@parkerknight8738 Oh, the problem isn't the blade being duller... At least not on a quality women's razor! There's multiple issues with them tho, one being that the blades are usually further away from each other. This is due do them being designed to use while showering to allow for easier cleaning by rinsing them under water. It also creates more skin irritation tho and makes it easier to cut yourself... The second issue is the angle of some of the blades being not as flat as on men's razors. I can only warn every woman before switching to a men's razor to be careful when using it for the first time! Since many women are used to applying more pressure while shaving, a men's razor will easily cut you if you apply more than a tiny bit of pressure or even just the razor's own weight, especially on the legs😅 Pro tip: the Hydro series of the known brand with the W has tiny "wires" attached to each blade to prevent the blades from entering the skin. Works wonders, especially for the body! Really helpful in the face as well tho, I have to admit😁
@hailyjohnson407 Жыл бұрын
@@mental_kintsugi I definitely cut the hell out if myself the first time I used a mens razor because I was used to much more pressure. I also read though that the reason women's razors are differently shaped/require more pressure is just for speed, because women are usually shaving a larger surface area and lots of curves, etc. I've found with men's razors, I can get a much cleaner, closer shave, but I have to shave very slowly and can only go like a few inches at a time before needing to rinse it, where with a women's razor, I can pretty much just go to town and rinse every 1-2 full swipes from bottom to top on my legs with little stopping and little regard for carefulness and rarely cut myself. Which makes sense because men's razors are mostly designed for the face, so they shave very close, but men will be moving them very slowly and cautiously, and have a small surface area to cover.

This is a general idea of why/ how breasts sag, because people need to know about these things. The connecting breast tissue that exist above the boobs and extends into the armpit (yes it does go that far), obviously connect the breasts to the chest and supports the breasts weight. Naturally over time, due to things like age, gravity, and the weight/size of the boobs this tissue will become looser and start to stretch. This is what causes boobs to sag. People with bigger/ heavier breasts will experience more sag then people with smaller/ lighter breasts. Bras can help reduce potential sag, but ultimately it’s a natural unavoidable thing that happens to people with boobs, and it’s something that no one should be ashamed of for having/ experiencing.

Neither genetic identity is really the "person"- I guess you could make an argument about whichever twin makes up most of the brain bring the "person" but noone does that. DNA would suggest that the parent then would be a sister, mother, or daughter. Funny thing about working out to "fix" the size of your breasts; I worked for a company that fit for bras, and many women came in who had been losing weight via working out and needed a new fit. Often they were dismayed when they found out that they went down a band size, but up a cup size - this is normal for many people. Although some people will lose mass there, most of what you lose/tone is the fat/muscle around the breasts, which decreases your band size but increases the cup size. So that idiot who thinks that working out will "fix" the size of breasts is beyond moronic.
@michaelschneider8201 Жыл бұрын
Everybody who ever learned about fitness knows that what makes breasts big is fat. And breast fat is the first one to be lost when a woman is losing weight. Because unlike butt fat, which protects inner organs from cold, breast fat is purely for aesthetical purposes and is the first thing a female's body gets rid of. I mean seriously...
@ceeshnia Жыл бұрын
@@michaelschneider8201 Wow, it is almost like you don't actually know shit. I worked in a bra store, I saw women losing weight. Do you know what I saw the majority of the time? Their cup size increased, and their band size decreased. In simple terms, that would make them look bigger because they lose the fat around their chest before it touches the breast fat. Yes, I know that breasts are largely fat, but that doesn't mean all that much when you're working out because you aren't exactly exercising your breasts. Most of the clients I had also had a much easier time toning their butts than their breasts. "Aesthetical"... you do know that breasts have a function... right? I mean seriously...

Wait so it actually doesn't help at all? Gosh I'm just gonna need surgery at this point
@ceeshnia Жыл бұрын
@@undyla-chan1675 It might at some point, but it may not. It depends on the exercises that you do, the way your body reacts, and how long you are at it. Most of what I saw were women who got down a few sizes and called it good, and the majority of them didn't lose in the bust. I also didn't see a lot of them doing exercises to work the chest area, more than arm exercises. So that may be an avenue to look into? But I cannot tell you one way or another, only what I observed over the years while working there. That being said, it may be worth trying first anyways, as it will strengthen the muscles in the area. Remember that genetics and diet also affect the size of breasts; I know that for me, on both sides of my family the clothing size is fairly irrelevant in that the majority of female-bodied relatives are an were almost all well-endowed, even those who are within the size range of 4-12. I would suggest making sure you have a set of quality bras that properly fit to make life a bit easier if you haven't already until you find a way to reduce them. Best of luck!

Just the thought of ectopic pregnancies are so scary! I'm an aro/ace, but I've juggled with the thought of maybe having kids later in life, but I decided if I did I would definitely adopt because so many things can go wrong during pregnancy and I wouldn't want to lose my baby, I don't think I could emotionally recover from that. Plus there are so many older children (like 7-10 year olds) who at that point know that their chances of being adopted are close to 0% and I hate the thought of a child giving up hope of having a family just because adopters prefer babies and toddlers for some reason. Edit: At least when they're older you don't have to change diapers or have that awkward "you were adopted" talk.

While I totally agree with you, the part about the -10 year olds not always being adopted because of whatever reason isn’t that easy! Yes all of them deserve loving homes and people should adopt them and it’s great that you’re thinking about it. But adopting a child that grew up in a system so incredibly harmful isn’t a walk in the park. Many kids have witnessed horrible things and have been trough traumatising times, in their bio family as well as in foster care. Younger children, especially babies out of the system are also more time consuming and difficult because trauma does affect them as well! But most of the time the damage isn’t really reversible but more controllable and young parents do not really want an older child in fear of hurting it more because they don’t know how to handle certain cases or the child has been trough so much already that they have immense trust issues and lash out etc etc. that doesn’t mean that every child is that way, but adopting isn’t easy and it is understandable some people do not wish for this burden or don’t trust themselves to be the right parents to a child with this issue because they don’t believe they can give them what they might need. It’s great you’re looking into that and I hope this worked out for you! But it isn’t shameful to step back from a thing because you know you wouldn’t be able to give this child what it needs and would only cause further harm.

Having pockets would take away the ability for men to go and buy them things, as it would allow the women to carry their own money without it showing! Sometimes they sew the pocket shut so that it doesn't affect the fit when trying on in store. Along the same lines is that the suffragettes used to carry their pamphlets in their pockets. Apparently they added extra pockets so they could carry more. This is why we still need feminism... At the very least we have to do it for the pockets!

I read somewhere, many years ago, that 'women do not want pockets, because it would spoil the line of their clothing.' Which might have been true, once upon a time, but fell by the wayside many years ago. I am a woman who buys men's slacks for work, because of the decent pockets, as opposed to the shallow ones in women's. Also if a woman's skirt or dress has pockets, you'll know because she'll tell you. "Pretty dress/skirt." "I know, and it has POCKETS!"

As an autistic person, I have a similar view to the alien one. They're autistic teenagers being assholes on purpose to figure out what the social rules are, so they don't say something hurtful to the people they know. I never went -that- far but I definitely did shitty things as a teenager just to figure out what the line was, since I need things told explicitly to me, and the best way to get someone giving me a lot of extrenuous detail most people don't need to think about is to piss them off by being horrible and incorrect. Same mindset as thinking they're aliens, except I can actually convince myself it's real instead of the reality that they genuinely are just awful people. lol

The pocket thing is actually also for fit. It's difficult to put pockets in and get a more skinny fit (which scrubs don't have) to a curvaceous form. Not saying I wouldn't prefer pockets, and not saying it's entirely impossible, but yeah, can be difficult. That's kinda also why we sometimes get pants with the pockets sewn shut; it's so that the clothes hang properly and look better on the mannequin

It's like these dudes haven't really thought of why virginity in women used to be so prized so they still behave as if it means anything anymore. It used to be prized to ensure your heir was actually yours. That is no longer necessary with the advent of DNA technology so you can now get with whoever you want. so the pockets thing, (this is widely believed to be the actual reason) was to stop the suffragettes from being able to carry things secretly like a self defence item or to have the independency of being able go out alone, carrying their own money or keys and instead rely on men to hold things for them or carry a bag that could easily be snatched
@barbaradesigns17742 жыл бұрын
I work with fashion, don't know why they stopped, maybe thats the reason, but nowadays is more about "saving" the fabric, so companies just refuse to make pockets in pants with the idea will cost a lot more on the clothes, when the diference is really small. When I was 21 I moved in with my ex boyfriend, he had a 12 year old daughter and had full custody. It was real awkward when it came time to buy her first bra. Since he had sisters and was married to two women before coming out I figured he’d know at least a little bit about bras. Nope, he was completely clueless/useless. We asked a 30ish woman socking underwear in the isle next to the bras for help. She rather unpleasantly told us she didn’t know anything about that because she was just a stocker. In my head I was like, “um you have to know more about it that 34 and 22 year old dudes” but we didn’t press the issue because our daughter was turning several shades of red. I knew enough that the number was her rib cage measurement, and that A was the smallest cup. So I grabbed the tape measure at the changing room and found a woman’s A cup in her size. Direct quote from our daughter, “IM NOT WEARING THESE HEADLIGHTS!” I dismissed her protests and insisted she try it on. Thankfully there was a sweet old grandma was working the changing station and saw our mistake. She took us over to the young miss section and helped us pick out a few for her to try on. After our daughter tried one on over an a-frame undershirt, she asked if she could go in and help her check for proper fit and help her know what to check for comfort and wires and whatnot. We were all grateful that she was there and we never had the issue again. I had to buy her bras and hygiene products many times and it wasn’t ever embarrassing, no cashier ever questioned why I was buying these products as they just figured I was buying them for a child or a sibling. My daughter and I did have a rocky relationship for many years until the birth of my second grandchild, I offered to take the oldest for a week after the birth so she could readjust to a newborn in the apartment before bringing a 5 year old back into the equation. We now have a wonderful relationship.

Here's my take on the female pocket conspiracy: You know how females seem to be able to pack far larger amounts of stuff into their handbags? Thats because females are able to create distortions of space time at will with any containers. (think bag of holding of DnD etc). Now if every female had two or more pockets on them at all times, this would pose a far too great risk of rupturing our space time, since it can only handle so many distortions in a given area at a time. You thought Cern was dangerous? Just think about what a justin bieber concert back in the day could have done, if the average pocket per female ratio was left to chance. the Lizard people are already trying to stabalize our reality using chem trails, but its simply easier to reduce the female induced space time distortion pollution by limiting female access to pockets rather than increasing the amount of chemtrails, especially since those have those nasty sideffects on humans. The soon to be fully implemented 5G towers will help with this problem too, but those have known sideeffects as well, as you surely know. So please help reducing female access to pockets, otherwise our reality will shift back into flat earth mode sooner or later! how did i do? :D

Effectively doubling the amount of pockets we have on us. 💁🏽♀️ It would turn restaurants into black holes. 🤔 Unless that's why restaurants are REQUIRED to be x distance apart! It's not about competition! It's about POCKET TO SPACE RATIO! 🧐

Oh, I thought it was because handbag companies invented women and bribed pocket companies to stop pockets

My favorite explanation for the lack of proper pockets on women's clothing is the witch explanation, where basically they stopped putting pockets in women's clothes so they couldn't carry around the resources for their spells as easily.

That's not an explanation - That's simply not true.

Fun animal fact: Dolphins are the second most intelligent creatures on the planet. The most intelligent are, of course, mice.

11:56 I took this as “women were nerfed because they’d be too powerful if given the strength of men”

12:40 actually in most ANIMALS, females are larger than males. However, specifically in mammals, females are usually smaller/weaker than males. This is why species like the T-Rex were theorized to have larger females on average, and why fish like anglerfish have significantly larger females, but why humans and mandrills have smaller females. I believe it’s because in (most) mammals (and birds), males are expected to put effort into the relationship to attract/earn the females such as having display features, being strong/large to fight other males, and intelligence to sneak into or bribe the females.
