It's astonishing that someone indicated that KL Rahul doesn't have team's interest in mind and they have retained players who are selfless. KL Rahul has done anything that has been asked of him. I think his main issue has been a low strike rate and batting through the innings.. kind of an "anchor" role which did eventually cost LSG a few matches in the last two seasons.. what everyone expected was the KL of 2018-2019 IPL where he was scoring at 150+ sr throughout. Once he got captaincy in 2020 of PBKS his approach changed and became conservative not only in IPL but also for India. He was one of the main culprits Ind had underwhelming t20 world cups in 2021 & 2022

As far as LSG is concerned, the owner wanted to change the team's style and his approach looking at how SRH batted. If he was selfish, with his world cup selection in mind, he would have batted in the middle order for LSG. He has one problem though...he has never been able to follow up a good knock with a string of good performances. He gets a century and flops next 6 innings. However, to say he is not a team player, that I don't agree at all. P.S. I am not a KL Rahul fan. I like his technique and some of the shots he is capable of playing.

If things go well and Rahul gets a big hundred, Rohit should do the sacrifice this time and play at Rahul's position..if someone like Rahul gets on a roll, we can potentially get a series of good opening scores like we got in the BGT 2017 in india.. If Rahul's opening position is still in question because of failures previously, let me remind you that he's one of the few openers from India who got a hundred in south Africa and England on recent tours on green tops. Contrary to public opinion, Rahul's best spot in the team is when he opens and anything less will be injustice to him and also sends a wrong message to players who work on specialised roles...

Patience is the keyword for anything and anyone in our real lives and Test match cricket is no exception. Sanity at last started prevailing to see Team India batters play a Test like a Test match innings. Test match cricket, especially for openers is all about battling the conditions, see off the new ball and then look to grind and grind. You can't be getting into fourth gear straight away unless and until the need of hour asks you to do so. Maybe 1 out of 20 Test games, you can go bang bang - but 99% of the games, Test match has its own old tradition and batters need to be disciplined and follow that tradition to become shooting stars. Looking at our opening solidity not only brightened my eyes & I think BCCI can extend Rohit's paternity leave as it would be unfair to break KLR rhythm or change his batting order given his display with utmost concentration and I am glad that Jaiswal has quickly learned that he is not playing in his Mumbai Maidaan either. Application at the crease is the need of the hour for not just the rest of the batting order to follow but for all the remaining tests to follow as well (especially the next PINK BALL TEST). Last time in Adelaide was just a thin line, we dictated the first half of the PINK TEST and Oz-ie blew us away in the second half. Have to wait and see, if CHAPTER-36 lesson was learnt by Team India. Your old superstar and much hyped KOHLI (The Test batsman) should also realize that he can bring his A game at the Test match level sooner than later in his last tour to DOWN UNDER 🙏

Rohit is a sitting duck to starcs inswinger in pink ball, KL technically is more equipped to handle the tough conditions. Rohit will be more effective in the latter half once the pitch eases out along with pant. Tough decision on jurel but it is what it is.

The host team has the better understanding of the pitch than the visitor but in the recent past, the visitors adapt to the conditions and the host continue to struggle. Is this over confidence or just lack of match practise ?

This series is sadly done & dusted from what I've seen of Australia's batting line-up in the past 2 years & the rapid decline in the reserves,...plus clearly India has some sort of voodoo over AUS in BGT since 2014.... 4-0 to india...congrats bcci
