Omg Annamarie’s interview reminded me of a day in 2018. It was the end of senior year of high school, one of my friends was leaving for college. Now, neither me nor this friend knew how to properly express emotion at that age, so we both looked longingly at each other, then dabbed in unison before she left. I waited to cry until later🤡🤡🤡

as a '91 child, i got to experience the golden age of branding, an insane growth in technology, and i think we may be the last generation that has a majority percent of kids going outside to play or using imagination with toys etc. its really crazy to so many younger people love the aesthetic of a time they can never experience. when i hit 30 i finally decided to let myself be cringe and buy whatever i want, re-obtain childhood toys, and not be embarrassed about how i used to be. i regret deleting my myspace, or old facebook pictures. they are gone forever. at least now i can own garfields and not get made fun of lol we had to adapt constantly to technology and i think it just fucked us up, we keep adapting and i think a lot of us feel like we havent become the kind of adults we knew as kids. at the same time, our generation will never be able to experience the same things we did as kids. sometimes i just want to remember a time when i was oblivious to how fucked up everything is, just for a minute. check out the views on some of the commercial compilations, or all the nostalgia bait we gobble up. boomers can just not use technology and its basically the same embrace the cringe in moderation. love you all

tbh as A Gen Z (18) a lot of the youtubers we grew up with/admire were/are millenials. like in middle school i had a dan & phil phase and i thought millenials were so cool 😭 and my older cousins are millenials and they were always the "cool big kids" to me. so i still partook in some millenial cringe in an attempt to imitate the young adults around me who were super cool at the time. also my hot take is with 90s/2000s fashion coming back, and even with some millenials partaking, i think the 2010s are coming. so don't throw away your shutter shades guys.

Honestly, gen alpha is probably fucked. They're growing up in the era of shitty youtube kids content farms, skibidi toilet, ipad kids, and this era of horror games where everything is trying to appeal to them despite being a horror game. Like there is no way that they'll be properly tuned to the real world in any way.

@@mythcat1273 I genuinely do not give a shit that you watched Super Why. I worry about the future for Gen Alpha, but that's because of the political landscape, the divided state of society, the sheer level of violent crime, and the terrifying approach of climate change. They're not fucked because they watch weird shows
@screaming8452 Жыл бұрын
@@jstarstudios7110 I think it's comically ridiculous how people will blabber about how "this next generation is gonna be so screwed up" but instead of pointing out and advocating to end the real world issues those kids will have to face, they blame it on the shows they watch, music they listen to, memes they like, etc. I don't get how millennials and gen-z adults can see the stupidity in this kind of logic when it's been used against them, but then use it on the next batch of humans.
