I always failed at cruising in parking lots when I tried it personally years ago and now I am too chicken shit because the cops and State Police in Connecticut are always on the lookout. But it use to be about flashing lights in the old days if you flashed your lights others knew you were cruising but now with auto lights on cars and day time running lights it isn't that cut and dry anymore I guess. Love your trash bag suggestion never thought of that personally time to keep some in the car for the day I might grow a pair of balls again to try this. I loved the idea of bringing a banana to seductively mow down while waiting. Genius! 😂 Years ago, before I even knew parking lot cruising was a thing, I would regularly go to a forest preserve parking lot on my lunch hour from work just to eat lunch and get out of the office. I was wondering why other guys were always looking at me. One time I had the window down, was smoking a cigarette and talking on the phone and a guy approached. I was so oblivious at that time I ended up saying excuse me, I'm on the phone. Later I learned this forest preserve was a popular cruising area. I was told one of the signals that you were available to cruise was that you were sitting in your car, pulled in backwards in the parking spot, with the window down. Damn it, what a missed opportunity. I don't know if I would ever have the nerve but I always think about that whenever I pass a forest preserve to this day. 🤔

Thanks for the info, but you don't even seem to know the extent of this. Am I the only one who notices this now happens in every single parking lot now? Malls, supermarkets, etc. I'm a good looking muscular guy. I'm not looking for it but if I pull into ANY parking lot in the past couple of years by myself, especially at night, there is a 100% chance I will have men pulling up to me, flashing lights, honking, following me into the store, out of the store, they will see me walk in and pull up in front of/next to my car and wait for me to come out, honk at me or flash their lights. Lot's of black SUV's with tinted windows and I usually cant even see who's in them but when I do they all seem to have beards or some kind facial hair. I don't know if that's a sign their looking or just a stylish trend. I awkwardly pretend I don't notice it and am careful to never make eye contact and get in and out of my car as quickly as possible. I've even been followed. This NEVER would happen a few years back and it happens EVERYWHERE now! And if anything I was younger and hotter 10 years ago. Even if I'm parked on the street and sitting, a car will likely slow down and pull up somewhere in front of me. This is such a major shift in culture and think this would get a mention on the news (or at least a couple of online articles) but I can't believe this video is the ONLY thing I found online that address this and it doesn't even tell the whole story!

If some of the cars are parked in reverse. If it's an area where people can exercise discretion. If it's an area/park with low traffic and off the beaten path. If the person is sitting in the car alone. If the guy sitting in the car is going out of his way to make eye contact with you and seems overly friendly. If the guy starts touching himself casually/subtly as he strikes up a chat with you. The type of garbage strewn about and graffiti on the restroom walls will be a big hint too.

Any tips for a young homeless straight man? I park and sleep in a lot public parks and metro lots at night. At first I couldn’t tell why so many sometimes creepy often effeminate guys were parking next to me or trying to make prolonged unnecessary eye contact, and feeling threatened, I would cock my pistol (keeping it out of site) and stare back ready to defend myself. I HAD NO IDEA😂 Little did I know I was only attracting them more by staring back. Then they would repark right next to me! I’ve also had guys come up right next to my roadside parked car at night and stare me down not more than 2 ft from my window in pitch night. And Ofcourse being like 1 am I again prepare to execute someone. Upon seeing my scowl in the light they take the hint and turn or if not I pull my car out and flash my high beams on them and that has worked thus far, they eff off. idk if I feel safer now or more terrified. Why so much shame ? It’s so sad. I guess I’m lucky to come from a family that accepts homosexuality,,, That being said, this can’t be a safe practice . I could’ve legitimately killed one of you by now. I’m glad I know this now so hopefully I can spot the dif between a creep and a nonviolent guy who’s just looking for gay sex. But seriously wtf, it’s 2023, why can’t the gay men community evolve out of these shady fetishistic practices, not to mention incredibly dangerous!!! Any thoughts are greatly appreciated. I’m a filmmaker in Los Angeles and I’m thinking of starting to ask these guys if I can interview them on camera while blurring/protecting their identities to illuminate this culture to the greater public and do a study on shame in gay men in modern America and ultimately make a safer world for the next generation of gay men. Again, all contributions appreciated! I’m new to this culture and being an outsider doesn’t diminish the fact that it’s freaking fascinating. Additionally, if you’ve got stories please come forward. I will absolutely protect your identities. Persecuting innocent gay men is the last thing I want to do. So again, anyone with stories please reply to this post or reach out somehow! Even if it’s just to criticize my deep misunderstanding of the culture. Lastly, please be safe you guys! There are genuine monsters out here at night.

Thanks so much for the comment. I appreciate the interest and the non judgemental curiosity. You're right, it's not safe, but that's part of the thrill. These guys do put themselves in a bit of danger every time. But you have nothing to fear from these guys. They will not hurt you and they'll leave you alone once you tell them you're not interested or there for that. As for shame, that's not why it happens. Cruising will always be around regardless of the APPs or how much "equality" we get. It's a hunt for sex. It's about the thrill of the chase, the excitement of being outdoors, the not knowing what could happen (if anything even does). That being said, some guys are on the "downlow" and this is their only opportunity to hook up. Again, thanks for all the questions and the willingness to learn!

I noticed a very handsome man (they're all handsome in Italy,no lie) facing me in the back of the bus. He kept looking at me. Italians do not have a sense of personal space or how long to look at some until it becomes creepy (it never is creepy) like Americans do. I noticed every time the bus stopped he got closer to me. I was intrigued, he was so handsome. We locked eyes. Soon he was standing in front of me with his body pressed against mine. Our noses were almost touching. I smelled a combination of him and his cologne. Intoxicating. I would love to continue but suffice it to say that being groped on a crowed bus in Rome was something i will never forget! Totally hot!!

I'm here because I saw something unusual this morning. A guy had his hood up on his car. I asked him if he needed a jump. He said no and sat there with his door open and shoes off. A red flag 🚩 immediately went up. I'm like he's either signaling for a hook-up or stalking.

Not so much in parking lots but lots of time spent cruising the main street of my town... Yonge Street, Toronto in the late 50s and 60s. Back then, hitch hiking was a normal way to get around and on Friday and Saturday nights, there were dozens of guys "hitching" on every block downtown. I just drove along until I saw someone that gave me a tingle and stopped. We'd do the usual intro dance... "Hi, where ya goin'" or "How far are you goin". The RIGHT answer was "all the way". Then off we'd go onto a side street to find a spot between streetlights to boogie. I always found the risk of being caught to double the turn on... either in the car or washroom or even the bushes or parks. And back then, the cops took great pleasure in entrapping and busting every "fag" they could. Raids on the bath houses were frequent. Somehow I escaped their nets... just plain lucky.

Thank you so much for sharing those stories with us! Love to hear how things were compared to how they are today! I woulda been the guy saying "all the way" lol

@@PatrickMarano My pleasure, Patrick. I'm now heading for the age 85 milepost, sadly without the zesty "Weapon of Mass Destruction" that existed before the medical profession gave me the choice of dying soon from bladder cancer or living with a limp dick for the rest of my life. No contest, eh? Going from the "Speed Limit" to "Parked" has been one of those speed bumps on the road of life that I hadn't expected. Learning to deal with it psychologically has not been as difficult as you might expect. If it had happened at age 40, I'd have been real pissed. But now, I have a lifetime of encounters to populate the theatre of my mind while waving my overcooked cannelloni around to little effect. I bring all this up, not to bore you, but to thank you for your excellent presentations and to tell you how much enjoyment they bring. I'm hope the young Up and Cummers appreciate having this kind of resource. Back in my day, all we had were Men's Health Body Building magazines and our wildest imaginations. This was long before "The Baths" or the St. Charles Tavern. Jeez, what I slut I must have been!

I am sure that's nice but be careful. I would not as I would feel I was being raped in some ways alas. Also if the police saw you what would you do. Best place for some ass really is at home but each to their own though too I guess.

Well ive said it before and il say it again: you gays sure know how to have a good time. You cant imagine all the fuss i have to go through to score with a girl these days. With that said: dont you find sex in cars terribly uncomfortable??

It definitely tends to be easier to get laid when it's two guys. That's why even some str8 guys will dable with other dudes since it can be so much easier and don't have to pay for it. Just depends on the car I suppose. I've made it work well in the back of our Jeep with the rear seat removed and the other one down. Only draw back there is there tends to be a lot of dog hair (LOL) since the that's where the dogs usually ride.

Of course there's the biggest con (now that Prep has mitigated some of the health risks), oddly not mentioned here, which is getting busted by the vice and becoming a con, not to mention immediate membership in the Sex Offender list, which I understand is very difficult to get off of. Sometimes I wonder if Patrick Marano could be a cop. Not to judge or put a downer on things, but the risk is real, so watch your step.
@PatrickMarano Жыл бұрын
haha, I'm not a cop. As for getting 'busted' and the repercussions of that, it depends on where you live of course
