My journey in greater detail: • My Alopecia Story - Fi...
My life changed when I started balding. This is an update to my journey to healing myself. #Alopecia #AlopeciaAreata
Always remember: Don’t focus on hair growth. Focus on A HEALTHY IMMUNE SYSTEM. If your build your immune system, the hair growth will take care of itself.
My current Supplement regimen (in addition to dietary changes when needed):
1. Probiotics: Brand-Garden of Life. The Critical Care Formula
2. Turmeric: Brand-Any brand that includes black pepper in the formula
3. Daily Vitamin: Any hair and nail vitamin that is formulated to also be a daily dietary supplement (meaning it has more than JUST biotin in the pill. Do NOT take gummies!!!) Vitamin Brands I trust-The Mane Choice, Mielle Organics, Nature’s Bounty Hair Skin and Nail Vitamin.

Thank you so much for sharing. Hearing you talk about your ordeal has really helped me to feel better about what I’m dealing with. Losing my hair has really affected my self-esteem. I spend so much time taking care of everyone else, that I have seriously neglected me and my health. While watching your video, I realized that there is hope. Again, thank you so much for reminding this woman of faith that God is still in control!

I agree totally. A person has to fix what's going on inside first. I've had issues with my nape for 2+ years. I shaved it off in January 2021. I've tried oils, potions, etc. I didn't get any results until I switched to an anti-inflammatory diet 6 weeks ago and added a turmeric supplement. After about 4 weeks, my nape started getting peach fuzz and at this point, it's more hair back there than I've had in over 2 years. Facts!

Just discovered your channel. I haven't had an outbreak in two years and this morning I woke up to a spot. It's devastating. I got the injections years ago and they didn't work at all. Thank you for speaking out about the topical treatment lies.

Thank you lady I have been dealing with alopecia CCC and I've heard so many stories of magical cures and it's just too much for me to handle but just to know that someone else has been through it means a lot I'm losing more than what you have and I almost got the injections I let them do it once and it was the worst thing I've ever experienced and my meal system have broken down a lot after but now I'm starting to get plant-based type of diet and working on the inside out keep me in your prayers thank you again for listening

Faye, sugar is the DEVIL!!!! And anything that breaks down into sugar is also, so try eliminating wheat, pasta and pastries. These all break down into SUGAR. This is a great video as all of your videos are! Love you Faye and hope your continued journey yields the BEST benefits of your work! And YES, you are absolutely right, growth oils are great, but don't solve the issue fully. It's an INTERNAL thing.

I'm so glad your video popped up. I've been losing my hair like crazy for about 6 months after I used spring twist hair last year. It was the first time since I was a teenager and I've had a weird stinging itch (no flakes) and my hair comes out the same way you described. I know I was vitamin deficient after 3 months of taking in nothing but water and ginger ale. I've been taking vitamins for a month but nothing has worked. I just ordered turmeric with black pepper and probiotics as inflammation makes sense. Thank you for making it make sense! 💜

A lot of us black women forget curly hair breaks you have to work harder for length than straight-haired people. HARD WATER causes more breakage. I wash my hair with bottled spring water. Cut out processed food and eat turmeric, moringa, ginger and cacao powder with meals. Make sure you use soft water on your hair this is for all human hair hard water causes some of hair loss next to immune problems to watch what you eat.

Thanks for uploading the alopecia series. I started watching your videos during the Covid shutdown last year but never got around to the older ones. I really appreciate your advice. Years ago, I was following someone (whose name I won't mention) and used her alopecia "recipe" since it seemed to cure her. Well, I did get overall hair growth -- everywhere but the alopecia area😥 Now, I use it on my skin because it actually does clear up eczema. I have purchased so many oils and essential oils -- even tried the yeast cream. To be honest, I was at my wit's end before I found these videos and ready to do another big chop. I never considered my issue could be internal. I've been under a lot of stress over the past few years and just can't seem to get myself together. Hopefully, your tips about exercise and nutrition will make a difference in hair too. If not, it'll still be nice to have some peace again. Anyway, thanks for sharing...😉

Hi sis!! Love your story, thanks for sharing! I've shared my story as well.❤️🌹 this is such a hard thing to deal with, but thank God it's something we can work around and grow our hair back. You just have to work at it!! My hair comes out right in the front forehead area..ugh!!! And my hairline, so much of what you mentioned in the video I'm doing. O noticed about 2 yrs ago that sugar was the culprit!!! When I detoxed and when on my keto diet it was the hardest thing I ever had to do. Coming off regular sugar was a monster!!!! My body was fighting me like crazy!!!! But I did it! It took me 4-6 weeks to kill the beast so now when I have sugary stuff it sickens me! I'm soooo glad! I will every now and then crave a snicker bar and will take the bait, but that's it! 😂...any way thanks for sharing story....I'm still struggling with keeping my hair, I jst can't seem to KEEP it,when it comes in. If you have any advice, I'd appreciate it. Congratulations on your success ❤️😇🙏🏾

That part about breakage and sugar is really interesting. My hair strands have become really fine and fragile feeling but not necessarily more breakage. Going to discuss this with my derm.

Faye, good for you!! AA is a result of having an autoimmune disease. My scalp pain has been around since I was diagnosed. I've tried everything to keep my scalp from feeling like a smoldering fire, but nothing really helps. The burning sensation is 24/7 and it keeps me up at night. The brittleness of the hair is the same everywhere on my body, and when my hair is touching my scalp, yikes!! Was enough for me to shave my head. I just invested in custom made units, so my once beautiful hair is one less thing I have to worry about.. Much more on my plate, unfortunately.. I'm sure once my initial diagnosis is reversed, everything else should fall back in place.

LISA SMITA hi Lisa, I have alopecia as well. I had the same burning sensation and what has helped me was " listerine" rinse! Look it up on KZbin! It is soooo soothing! It stopped the pain and itching another treatment I use quite often is onion water, this helps as well with the burning, I have a video on how I prepare mine, but there a tons of vids out here🌹❤️. And another thing you can use to help with the pain is aloe Vera juice or the plant, it's soothing to the scalp for alopecia flare ups! 😇🙏🏾 I hope this helps you. Blessings

Hi Lisa. I had the same problem with burning painful scalp. For me I believe it was inflammation, internally and on my scalp. I took a good quality blackseed oil, and would also mix it with a good quality organic Aloe vera gel or the Aloe leaf and do a pre shampoo. I am also taking a multi vitamin by a Trichologist in the UK called hair today more tomorrow. The pain has now gone and my hair is growing and is not as thin. I've also cut down/reduced my sugar intake. I was also receiving red light therapy. I wish you all the best on your journey back to health.

Vit D is important for your immune system, heart, energy, etc. Lack of it affects almost every system in the body, and is a precursor for disease. Don't stop taking it. Most adults have low levels of Vit D.
