go with the vortech centrifugal easier to install

@@WhoopAzzRacing the belt driven ones. Yes
@WhoopAzzRacing3 жыл бұрын
@@pstreetgarage7304 all superchargers are belt driven that I know of it means it is more like a belt driven turbo in the centrifugal type and mounts by the accessories the ones ford uses are wipple or screw types that mount on top of the engine

Any problems with heat from the turbo being so close to the brake master cylinder? Beautiful area to drive in. Subscribed
@WhoopAzzRacing3 жыл бұрын
I have not had any issues but I would like to install a heat shield as it does get warm in that area and thank you for subscribing let me know if I can be any help

is this the version 1 turbo kit? I've heard this is the worst one to get but version 2 they've redeemed themselves with better manifold
@jackottinger62092 жыл бұрын
How is the turbokit holding up after 2 years? Considering buying one myself
@WhoopAzzRacing2 жыл бұрын
Had to replace the manifold it cracked and I replaced the blow off valve with the greedy have also bought a replacement turbo as it seems to be intermittently not working correctly honestly at this point I would recommend just going with the flying miata kit as initially I saved money but now that I bought all high quality replacement parts I have spent more and if I just went with the high quality stuff to begin with I would have saved a bunch in the long run

Was this the version 1 or the version 2 with the longer manifold
@WhoopAzzRacing2 жыл бұрын
The version 1 with t28 on a side note it took about 2 years for the manifold to crack I have now replaced it with a flying Miata manifold

Did you change out the oil lines or did you use the one from the kit?
@WhoopAzzRacing3 жыл бұрын
watch part four of the install I talk about the return hose but yes I used the feed line but had issues with the drain hose splitting in the video I give the part number of power steering return hose from napa and show you the difference between the 2 hoses
@BrewMaiden3 жыл бұрын
@@WhoopAzzRacing awesome thanks. I've heard that the v2 of the kit is much better, but one thing that still falls quite short are the oil lines.
@WhoopAzzRacing3 жыл бұрын
@@BrewMaiden definitely not the return and be careful with the feed it is not the greatest but does function as long as you think it through on the install but don't kink it if you do go get a new one thank you for watching

any fitment issues?

Not as the kit came it fit on pretty good now that I've had to replace the manifold however I've had to reconfigure things quite a bit

@@WhoopAzzRacing that’s good I might pick this kit up for my NA, what happened to the manifold?
@WhoopAzzRacing2 жыл бұрын
@@kabar123ar it cracked if you go to my channel there is a 2 year review video you can see the replacement and how the cx racing manifold cracked I was able to re-weld it but I choose to replace with a flying miata log manifold now about to switch out the turbo for the cx racing g28 ball bearing turbo
@kabar123ar2 жыл бұрын
@@WhoopAzzRacing damn that’s a shame, part of the reason I like this kit is the looks of the manifold
@WhoopAzzRacing2 жыл бұрын
@@kabar123ar unfortunately It just cost me the price of the entire kit to replace the blowoff with a real greedy and flying miata manifold cost me $900 then new turbo at 600 dollars I would recommend watching the install videos they are all in a playlist on my channel to give you a idea of what needs to be massaged/modified to make the kit fit

Is that tick noise just something all miatas have shit scares me sometimes I'm OCD AS ALL FUCK. Mine seems to come from the back left side more in the engine I overthink and think it's valve lash issues. My 99 nb1 5 speed only has 40k miles on it and had regular oil changes every 2000 miles
@WhoopAzzRacing3 жыл бұрын
Yes a slight tick is to be expected if it is really loud then a valve adjustment would be recommended what weight oil do you use? I use 15w40 rotella due to high heat from the turbo and how I use the car I would recommend using regular conventional mineral oil penzoil 10w30 or 10w40 depending on the climate you are in. synthetics lubricate great but can cause blow by and oil consumption and tend not to stay on metal surfaces it all drains back to the pan relatively speaking in comparison to conventional oil so on cold starts it would be dry for a split second but to some up if your miata sounds like my miata then you are good to go it is normal! How ever if it sounds worse then take it to a technician you trust.
@farmerbobbygrows33383 жыл бұрын
@@WhoopAzzRacing mobile one 10w 30 the synthetic high milage should I go with a thicker oil or would that make the lifter tick worse? I live in Michigan kinda half and half with weather aha. I also have the flyin Miata clutch bypass cause I know bp engines the crank doesn't get oil on start up with the clutch in and is practically metal on metal contact as I've heard. It's not turboed but is on a standalone ECU header and full exhaust ATM. And a street tune I made myself
@WhoopAzzRacing3 жыл бұрын
@@farmerbobbygrows3338 I would say to stay 10w30 but try non synthetic I prefer penzoil, 10w40 would not hurt as I am pretty sure that is not your winter car based on the mileage but 10w30 should be fine the thicker viscosity helps "fill up" the looser tolerances that they used to use, now a days the newer engines have super tight tolerances that require thin oil or bad things can happen but lucky you, you drive a antique {anything over 20 years old}
@farmerbobbygrows33383 жыл бұрын
@@WhoopAzzRacing I appreciate your time brotha and will definitely try the penzoil. Thank you
