Hello everyone! Welcome to my channel. Today's video I will show you how to make kabona. Kabona is a lighter version of okra soup. This dish sold in the street or can be made at home. It is normally enjoyed with fufu a soft chewy dough made with pounded yams, Cassava flour or plantain flour.
You can make kabona with strictly smoked catfish, Honda fish, mackerel fish, or beef, cowfoot, shaky/chetlings/cowbell any asorted meat of your choice. You choice of using just the kren kren or mixture of the kren kren and okra.
You need:
Palm oil
Maggie
Meats of your choice
Fish
Okra
Jute leaf/ayoyo leaf/ kren kren
OGIRI/optional
Habanero Pepper
Onions
Smoked fish
Pounded yam fufu, plantain fufu or Cassava fufu
I will see you on my next video. Follow me on Instagram if you are interested in a next video clip on my next upload.
Thanks For The.

I was licking my mouth when you dipped your hands 😂. Thanks for sharing another great video. I’ve never tried lemon in my pounded yam but I know the taste you’re going for: my fav type of swallow is semolina because it’s so light. The rest of my family prefer ponded yam though!

something i’ve learned over the years is not to cook the fufu how they do it back home... mix the fufu powder in room temperature water then cook it , this makes it easier to turn and also you avoid it being lumpy... this dish looks amazing

My grandma loves to put ogiri in her soup and Ikokore. I love the way you made your Kabona and i will definitely try making my Iyan with lemon. Thanks for sharing and remain blessed.

Check in any African grocery store or international food grocery store. I bought mine from a Spanish grocery store that sells international products. Indian or Asian store might carry it. I saw Walmart carries cassave flour you can use that as well. Thanks for watching
