Been doing these for a few years. They produce good results physically and emotionally. I do these with a mouthful of water so it forces me to nose breath. I also nose breath jumping rope. Amazing body weight excercises. At my age of 60 it’s mostly for functional strength and overall health benefits. I also combine Turkish get ups to keep me “honest”

Hindu push-ups not only focuses on Chest and arms but neck and shoulders and spine too. It makes muscles simultaneously maintains the stretchability. Often it is seen people with buffed muscles looses stretchability but this exercise will make maintain your bodily flexibility. Also this guy just inhaled and exhaled in Hindu push-up totally wrong. When you have to move forward and upward, you have to inhale but this guy exhaled and coming back you have to exhale. Hindu Push-up is combination of Yoga, Pranayama (breathing exercises) and Bodybuilding.

If you take into consideration the other training one might want to achieve? Imagine doing this daily but then wanting to do a yoga practice, or a lower body session or an upper body session or any other number of activities. Maybe Im wrong but this seems like a pretty savage workout for most people. Love Tim's original strength I just think this is a little much? I just read your awesome book, "The Bulletproof Project." Thank you for writing this! Its given me a new perspective on how to train. I am now working towards 10 minutes of non-stop crawling, jump rope, and ~300 reps of KBS in 10 min nasal only. Would you recommend this routine as a "daily warm up" or is it its own program? I notice its lacking posterior chain movements, so figured pull ups, carries, and kettlebell swings would be good supplements to this. I also believe crawling works your QL and other anti-rotation muscles but just trying to figure out how to balance it all. thank you!

Hey tim Love your channel and your work! Would it be possible to combine this routine with kettlebell clean+press? I train clean+press 3x a week for 20-30min. I also train snatches, pullups, dips, front squats. So you did this routine on separate days, or would you be able to do this routine the same weekday as clean+press? I like to move everyday the most, but I'm always "afraid" of doing too much on the days between clean+press so that it goes too much in addition to my recovery?

High-rep calisthenics helps a lot with stamina, strength and endurance in general. But the thousand reps story is not really true man, cause in the long run that would be extremely detrimental on joints. Not to discredit kushti wrestlers tho. I recommend you do high reps, just don't exaggerate.

Hip anatomy - anteversion and retroversion - your toes are outwardly when you squat. Can you please throw some light on this aspect?
@TrainLikeTim3 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure what you’re really asking me - I think it is best that people move where they can, or put your feet where the squat feels best. We all have different lengths, girth’s, hip sockets, etc. It’s more about finding the squat or foot placement that is right for the person than a standard of placement - as long as there is no pain, and no harmful patterns present.

In traditional Hindu Pushups, they don't seem to touch. I like to touch the ground with mine as it gives an extra range of motion that feels good and also creates more motion needed by the wrist. So, I'm not sure it matters overall, but may come down to a personal preference and play desire.

Yes sir, this has tremendous cardiovascular benefit and transfers well into endurance and performance. Especially if you become able to keep your lips shut and breathe through your nose.
