I skipped school to ride with my brother hauling produce on east coast. I drove when he was tired. I was 15 years old. I loved it. Got my CDL at 18. Now i am a Farmer. God I love them both. I'm now 44 years old and I have a lot of Good memories. And a beautiful wife and two perfect kids. Lord 🙏 I'm truly blessed.

I grew up in a small town in Illinois couple miles from the 57/70 split. My daddy was a truck stop barber at the 76 truck stop in Effingham. In 69 I was sucking a bottle and inhaling diesel fumes. Now I’m a cow hauler. Ain’t no feeling like cow mobiling !!!

I know a lot of guys have dreamed as a kid of being behind the wheel of a big truck, gotten drivers to blow their air horns just to hear them! lol It's not a glamorous life for sure but i'm so glad i got the chance to get behind the wheel and love it. Hauling oversize loads gets me off, the bigger the better! And it still puts a smile on my face when kids and adults give you the sign to blow the horns... or coming down a mountain or through town and hitting that 3 stage jake on my 3406 is music to my ears! =D "No Jake Brakes" ha ha ha yeah right..

Always dreamed of being a trucker as a kid and did it for 15 years after i turned 21 flatbed and oversized, now im a engineer with a short line railroad around birmingham, al, still miss those trucking days before elogs starting controling everything, i had a 1998 Peterbilt 379 with a 6NZ 550 cat and 18 speed with 3:73 rears and loved every second of it

This song reminds of my Father who had been an otr trucker and always wanted to do that again but like the song said so many things get in the way. I can't complain about all I've got but at night when I'm sitting there all alone in my livingroom chair. He loved listening to the CB on 19 at night and we knew he wasn't there he was pushing a diesel on the super slab.

In the winter I often leave my window open and hear the Semi's put on the Engine brake before coming into my town. as my window is within earshot of US 20 and NY 12.

Omg I remember going to bed when I was a kid and hearing the trucks on NY 17 in Delaware County the sound of old bias ply tires and diesels would echo up the valley and I knew then that's what I wanted to do with my life.

this is a song that sums up my life i was born with diesel in the blood and its all i dream of i dream about driving all over europe going to truck shows then buy my own trucks and trailers then do the same but go further out to the middle east etc with 3 trucks including me
