Please don't move on for another artist yet, there's much more Madonna to watch. And this performance is the best at Oscars imo, because of the concept, the way she starts and ends, because it's not what you would expect for her, she was glamourous as the Oscars deserves, her vocals... everything about it is amazing.

This was Madge at the pinnacle of her stardom....gorgeous, vocally powerful, and determined. This was a song from the I'm Breathless sound track for Dick Tracy and yes those were all real diamonds 20 million dollars worth from Harry Winston. Left earring got caught in her hair after roughing up her fur shawl so she threw it at the orchestra or audience. She simply was a divine beauty during this era. Great reaction vlog guys. So much more💋💅 noticed the red nail polish lol💖💙💚💛💜

Also, you MUST watch the following: - Borderline - Lucky Star -La Isla Bonita -Cherish -Deeper & Deeper -Rain -Secret -Take a Bow -Music -Don't Tell Me She has other very iconic hits that have videos like Into the Groove, Live to Tell, and Crazy for You, but those videos are mostly clips from the movies she's in....even though she looks stunning in those videos and you really should watch them too. I'm just sayin'. But I will give you boys a pass if you don't.

Wikipedia is your friend. 2:48 Dick Tracy (1990). She played the femme fatale, Breathless Mahoney, hence her album title, "I'm Breathless." It's the same album Vogue was on. Sold 5 million copies. An underrated, creative album with great vocal performances on songs like the hilarious I'm Going Bananas, Back in Business, Hanky Panky (top 10 hit), and Crybaby. I still quote Now I'm Following 5:26 Madonna says, "this time, I'm not only getting, I'm holding my man."

in the end she threw one of her earrings that had fallen off and caught on her dress into the orchestra.. song from the movie "dick tracy" and on the movie soundtrack... it's a "torch song" that is from that era of the movie (1930's i believe)... she mentions "talk to me general schwartzkopf tell me all about it" was a marilyn monroe reference from "gentleman prefer blondes" and her song "diamonds are a girl's best friend" but instead of 'talk to me harry winston, tell me all about it!" ( he was the famous jeweler), madonna inserted this general since it was around the time of the first gulf war!...

The song was written FOR the movie by Stephen Sondheim. When first heard a demo of it, she actually said: " I can't sing this shit", because it was very hard for her to learn musically (full of sharps and flats and unusual intervals for pop music), but she was glad she did eventually, despite it being very hard work for her

She was a one woman social revolution. Much respect to her for that.
