Stoner films were funny back in the day because 1) they were made by comedians/actors and 2) even though it was illegal for the most part, it was still relatable in an unspoken way. Danny’s critiques are so right on. Thinking smoking weed is somehow badass or subversive when it’s literally a legal and government regulated aspect of most states. When I saw the first scene, I thought this could be kind of interesting. I expected some kind of dark humour movie that tries to make jokes about how the mc tries to handle that his girlfriend committed suicide. I thought the "Good Mourning" meant that she hopes he gets through losing her. My first thoughts were that it was a risky idea but, if it was well done, it could have pretty strong emotional moments while still being a solid dark humour comedy. Then I remember it was a MGK movie.

We made it all the way through the movie and it was satisfying if only for the fact it was fun to rip on it the whole time. Its one of those " so bad its good" movies but still best to watch with a group. I had a friend try to watch it on his own and he quit halfway through.

This is a horror movie, no a documentary...it's completely based on his real life and that's so scary to me 😂 he said that Megan sent that text irl and because her phone died and she had no signal during her flight he thought she was breaking up with him and he literally went through this process calling all his friends and asking their opinion...he said he "spiralled" and lost himself and panicked and lost control thinking she had left him.
