Regardless of whether or not Luke Mitchell is guilty or innocent, how those members of the press can put their heads down on their pillows at night and actually sleep is beyond me. They should be ashamed of themselves. Luke was certainly right about one thing - it was most definitely "trial by press". There is no way on earth that trial should have been held anywhere close to that town.

I’m looking into this case because I saw someone else say that they brought in some cops from the US for this case that happened to be the same cops that worked on the West Memphis 3 case. If you’ve never heard of that one it’s definitely worth looking into. 3 guys did 18 years in prison and most people still aren’t sure if they’re guilty or not. Not sure if it’s true that it’s the same cops but if so that’s insane.

God, now that I'm almost done watching this video and just seeing the circumstances that his mother is living in breaks my heart in two! I don't know how other people can just stand by and watch this! Someone in her area should start a go fund me or something to help her get out of that "living" situation. You can literally see the cold in the air as her and the dog breathe! Imagine losing EVERYTHING simply for standing by your child. This woman is the epitome of what a mothers love should be! And to think that it all started from an incompetent police department and a jury of "their" peers making a life altering decision based on the media's portrayal of who her son is, without A SINGLE piece of evidence! @@sari5045 Such as her elder son you mean? Is it his shame you talk of if he left his mother to live in such squalor? How much did Ms Lean help her, perhaps from the funds they gathered when running a charity organisation? The same son who made it clear that he had lied in the investigation, changed his account to tie in with his mothers, then told the court why he had lie and admitted fully that he had not seen his younger brother in the house at all that day. Or that his mother had lied stating she was home when she was not?

The Scottish police need to have a serious look at themselves. When I'm watching this in March 2024, the murderer of Emma Caldwell has only just been convicted 24 years after her death. Top brass in the Strathclyde force wrongly pursued 4 Turkish men, and when the real murderer was uncovered, they ordered the officers on the case to kick it into the grass to save themselves face. He went on to commit many more offences against women who were actively ignored, gaslit, or even arrested themselves as a response. I think the Scottish Police force as a whole can consider themselves tarnished by this, and it truly throws into question this conviction. Arresting and convicting at all costs doesn't serve justice, it robs the innocent of their life and allows murderers to get off scot free.

I just heard about this case today for the very first time. I immediately googled it to find some background on it, and when I came across this video I decided to watch it. Most people will probably say I'm crazy or think I'm lying but I SWEAR to you when I believe it was Luke's mother who named off the ones who went to search for her, and while she was doing that she mentioned the sisters boyfriend, and I IMMEDIATELY just had this voice in my head that said "that's who did it". I'm now about half way through watching the video, and I've just listened to the part where the lady announced that the DNA that was found on her body belong to the sisters boyfriend and it gave me chills!!!! I've always had that little voice in my head that I call my sixth sense because I get feelings about different things. As I've gotten older, I've learned to listen to it. Beyond my own intuition though, this WHOLE ENTIRE CASE was a witch hunt! The sisters bf I'm sure would've known of Luke's interest in the Black Dahlia murder so its not surprising to me that this was the manner in which she was killed....hebdid it to point the finger at Luke...and it worked because the police were INCOMPETENT and only saw a boy who was into devil worshipping. I mean they didn't even think for one second that someone else could've been responsible! I'm sure alot of people knew a out his interest in the BD so it begs the question that why would he kill her in such a way that the similarities would point the finger directly at him! 🤦🏼‍♀️ The fact that they had forensic evidence that tied someone else to her murder should've been enough to find him not guilty....had the jury not already been tainted by the media!!! The media overplayed the Black Dahlia part, they made Luke out to be a Marilyn Manson fanatic. Manson was fascinated by the Dahlia killing so they put it out that Luke must have been too as he was supposedly a huge Manson fan. The truth is that the police found a Marilyn Manson CD in Luke’s bedroom but he only had it as it came free with a magazine that he had bought. The media used this along with his out there fashion sense to paint him as some sort of satanic worshipping outcast who was obsessed with violence. Made for great headlines and selling newspapers but was catastrophic for Luke’s case and reputation.

A jury is supposed to be COMPLETELY UNBIASED, but when they've seen media coverage on the case over and over again there's no possible way to get a jury that isn't, and that in itself tips the scales of justice unbalanced from the start!!!

This is the epitome of Injustice! An investigation is just that, it is to investigate thoroughly and honestly to the best of an investigators ability. These investigators were absolutely pathetic and of course use for human being I wonder if they would prefer their child female or male to be treated like this and framed. As far as journalists that were bashing this child they're not journalists desert priests use for you and me to have it to be a journalist it would take character and they were certainly lacking in that category, pathetic human beings is exactly what the officers they call themselves investigators and those to cut himself journalists or journalism our poor excuse for human beings as well. Such a miscarriage of justice. Jodies brother and at least one of his friends are guilty. Her brother was violent and controlled the house with his behaviour, he wasn't taking his medication and Jodies mother should have been charged with perverting the course of justice. I hope this case gets looked into again but we all know it won't as it will embarrass the Scottish police and the court. Poor Luke and his family 😢. Rest in Peace Jodie.

It appears to me he was set up. Her body was by their initials, it was a time they were to meet in an area they know, none of his DNA was on her and none of hers was on him..no cuts or wounds on him and she fought for her life. It shocking to me that he was prosecuted with no evidence against him. And I heard he wasn’t familiar with the Black Dahlia until after Jodie was murdered. The press sure does have horrible horrific affects on the world around us. Whatever sells.

Listen, say what you want about Marilyn Manson's music (I think it's trash), when he was popular he was a "critically acclaimed" pop music STAR. He wasn't "underground" in any way, and to pretend like you had to search high and low for his music is laughable. For about 3 years, he WAS pop music. Furthermore, listening to his music (as I said, it's trash) doesn't make one a killer, or a satan worshipper, or anything else. It makes someone an average person that, remember, this is before MP3s, listened to the radio, and marilyn manson was on the radio at that time. (ALL the time, ugh...) This whole "music (or video games) made him violent" is just nonsense. It's equal to saying all black people are this or all white people are that. It's a stereotype, and I thought stereotypes were bad, yeah? You don't paint with a broad brush, right? We judge people on a case by case basis, right? Not just, "Oh he wears all black? BAD!" Cases like this are exactly why people like me don't trust the police. "Oh, you look like x, y or z? Well somethin's wrong with YOU" No, you don't JUDGE me, talk to me. I'm usually a nice guy. (Except when I'm dealing with idiots...) This poor kid seems totally railroaded, and no matter what happens, he's lost years of his life to this garbage "police work."
