As a bavarian, I assure you that this is accurate. Altough nowadays the Schweinewasser isn't so good. Order some Wurstwasser. It is much better. Also call the waiter a Saupreiss, it is a traditional greeting.

Karl Marx i think u messed up the culture of the saxons and Sachsen... anglo saxons are completely different to Sachsen... and i assume that he ment with an saxonian accent an British or English accent. Nochmal auf deutsch er meint Angel Sachsen und keine Deutsch Sachsen... die Angel sachsen haben Britannien bewohnt bis die Normannen kamen und englisch gilt als Angel sächsische Sprache. Das heißt hier ist kein guter Sachsen Dialekt gemeint, sondern ein Angel sächsischer oder halt britischer.

John Cleese really blowed me away with his german! Its really good. If you want to learn it, you should. i understand that it is hard at the beginning, but if you get used to our grammar, its actually pretty logical ( as you'd expect ;) )

luggiswold It is a fact, that the greates comedians were all very intelligent and well educated. Even for the "dumbest" slap stick you need to be quite smart. People like Laurel and Hardy, Chaplin, Keaton... who mostly played the idiotic losers, were in fact great heads.

Second craziest thing they've ever done. The craziest was at the Hollywood Bowl where there seemed to be someone who was both an archbishop and a dead fish. That one I didn't even get. This one I follow very easily, it's just really over-the-top.

I love Monty Python but this is unrealistic...I live here. In reality the couple would have arrived at 21:00 to find the restaurant already closed (or at least the kitchen closed, no food available)...too late for Lazarians. They would then come back the next day to find that the restaurant has its "Ruhetag" and is closed the entire day. Perhaps they'd try a third time the following afternoon only to find the restaurant is closed between 14:00 and 18:00 Uhr for afternoon lazytime. Bavaria = Lazaria

Hahaha, no, it isn't used in English. It's only a comical insertion of Nietzsche's phrase where it doesn't belong. But why is it the opposite of wonderful? As I recall its context, it was "What is done out of love is beyond good and evil," which to me seems rather heartwarming and elevated.

Just bought a McSenfwurst at a local McDonalds in downtown Munich and I was lying in the street 2 minutes later, quite soaked in Schweinewasser, under a tree clearly made of wood. So, I can confirm firsthand that the local customs are still going strong in Bavaria!
