Do have to agree with other commenters though. I get frustration with how people respond sometimes but it is unnecessarily inflammatory to title it “stolen” if you’re not upset about it. Wordings like “pay homage”, “inspired by”, or saying like “caught this heir to the empire reference” would get your point across without being misinterpreted

I so wished they had the Noghri in the sequel series. I REALLY wanted to see the scene where they recognize Leia as the daughter of Vader and instead of assassinating her under Thrawn’s orders, they pledge their allegiance to her because they served Vader before Thrawn.

I had never heard of the Noghri before. I had watched the episode of rebels where the empire put the bounty Hunter up against the ghost crew, but I didn't pay attention if they mentioned the species of the character. What if, in season 2 of ahsoka in the tomb they were to find a pure blood Sith. The ones we see on Star Wars the Old Republic, Redskin and tendrils from the jaw. It's strange to me that the game has been around for quite a while but they've yet to ever depicted a true blood sith in any kind of TV or movie depiction. Or what if, at this tomb they end up discovering information about Darth Revan, and how he was able to balance dark and light sides of the force.

I have had to read this trilogy at least 100 times since the initial release. (Grabbed that book quick during the initial release), and I never made this connection. But I'll be damned. It makes perfect sense. It's disheartening to think that classic role played be Han and Leia is being handed to new characters (even loved ones), but I do understand it. The timing even feels right in the story. (Total Mandoverse) I am excited for more of this to be adapted. The story is so classic.

The problem with that is that the Heir to the Empire story was when the original trilogy characters were still in their prime. By the time Disney bought the franchise, the cast were already old. So that wouldn't work unless they they deep faked the entire trilogy or recasted the characters.

Filoni needs to take some plot pacing lessons from Zahn. Episode 5 of Ahsoka felt like the peak and episodes 6, 7, and 8 did not have an uphill momentum. Timothy Zahn had consistly better skills in that department.

Honestly I hate Senator Hamato Xiono of Hosnian Prime and who is a member of the court and one of the senators of the new republic because he only cares about giving up and believing in things that are not true like Thrawn and Ezra being dead and he even sat back and watched the war go on and I think he joined the Empire during the war and after the war ended he switch to the winning side which is the rebellion and the new republic like are you kidding me right now and like I said not only he thought that Thrawn dead, he also thought that Ezra was dead when really all of that was not true when really they both have been alive the whole time throughout the entire war and I especially hate Hamato Xiono in Star Wars Resistance because his son Kaz was asking for help and he didn’t care about it and was sick and tired of him asking for his help when Kaz wanted to join the Resistance, I hate Hamato Xiono in Star Wars Ahsoka, Star Wars Resistance and throughout all of Star Wars, Hamato Xiono is horrible.

I think the biggest mistake they made in the Mando verse the post Return of the Jedi era is Mon Mothma, they should have given Genegive ORiely darker red hair and the same hair style as the original Mon Mothma so it matched more closely to how we see her 5 years prior to this

Given Lucasfilm already owns the rights to Zahn’s Thrawn trilogy, how hard could it have been to simply adapt it rather than swap out the characters in place of Filoni’s darlings? Same with the Plagueis cameo in Acolyte. Fans love those books as is, and would’ve really loved their adaptations. This pluck and use “writing” technique baffles me.

The scene would have been much better with an alien character - instead of _'the Asian'_ ... and the doctrinaire gender swap of Solo for Hera makes the scene generic, despite the interesting concept of sensing traces of a careful conspiracy within an inert, unimaginative bureaucracy... The problem here is the intent to continue the animated 'Rebels' series, rather than adapting the widely respected Zahn material, faithfully. Everyone would have appreciated an intelligent, most challenging antagonist, instead of another detached caricature male _to support_ the manifold female leads (Ahsoka, Sabin, Hera, the Nightsister witches...) by pretentious leadership. That the 'Expanded Universe/Legends' will be _corpse scavenged_ is not new (Kylo Ren = caricature Jaycen Solo), the execution, however is oddly _never_ improving upon the sometimes lackluster material - despite spending millions on the shows. It's a pity as editors will have little trouble to sanitize the intersectionalist indoctrination and to explore constructed characters like Ahsoka for what the actors offer in isolated scene performance. EDIT: while I'm not certain that Zahn refers to these historical events when writing his 'Thrawn', I commend the actual events around the negotiations in the 'Maison Rouge' in 1944 as e.g. researched by British historian Mark Felton as completely constructed stories are usually boring like Mary Sue characters.
