Day9 really needs to put together a standup routine. He's great at bringing nerd culture to people who don't understand it, and his delivery is impeccable.

Because of your Magic tournament "learning experience" anecdote a week or so ago, when my wife asked me what I wanted for my birthday I chose a couple magic starter decks. So this weekend I played a bunch of magic, watched my first M:tG live streams from the Grand Prix, and spent a bunch more money on Magic cards. Then on my actual birthday, Monday, you gave us this gift of Story Time! So... thanks! (I think?)

The most important things to understand : 1) Each year 4 sets come out : 3 in a block and 1 core set in between. Example: the current block is called "Return to Ravnica", the sets that came out are: - Return to Ravnica ( October 2012) - Gatecrash ( Feb 2013) - Dragon's Maze ( May 13th 2013 , NOW) The next set will be the core set of 2014 ( next year, although release in 2013) and then OCtober 2013, new block starts. Understood it so far? :)

Depending on what block you are playing, you also have the option of Colorless. This could be called a 6th color for some. This makes it easier to split up that 5th color between 2 people if they add more colorless cards to their deck.

Entry fee for a GP is $30 for constructed (you bring your own cards) and $40 for limited (this one, where they give you cards that you keep). It's a team of 3 so 3x$40 = $120

On the Legend of the Five Rings forums, we often have a thread at the start of a tournament season where people try to predict which of the in-game clans will win the most tournaments. In this thread, we have to tell people that Case does not count as a clan, because, invariably, he will outperform the entire player-base of some of the clans.

Excessively doing it will wear his joint faster since cracking his fingers/neck involve an abnormal move of the joint. There is many causes to arthrosis and cracking joint won't necessarely cause one to develop arthrosis immediatly but can significantly increase the chance of developping it at a younger age! Cell division isn't unlimited, the more you wear a joint the older it gets! Trust me dude, I'm studying kinesiology at university and I've seen this concept!

2) Formats. There are many formats to play the game, but as long as you understood how the development cycle of blocks comes out, u will have no problem understanding the formats :) Just google it. 3)What you need to buy AS FIRST item is a "fat pack". Usually they cost around 40$. The reason u want them, is because they have 80 land cards. Without land, the most basic, u can't cast spells, no matter if u have 1000$ worth of cards.
