Kyrie got DRAFTED to the Cavs as a rookie. don't forget he started his NBA career in the aftermath of Lebron leaving the first time. you don't really form emotional ties to a city in that environment. he grew up and decided to leave, start building the Kyrie brand. he went to the #2 seed in a very lopsided conference. plus, he's not getting the franchise tag with Lebron there, and why the hell would he want it if Lebron leaves? salute to him realizing the bigger LIFE picture and making that decision for himself and his family.

LUC no one shitting on KD for leaving. He could've gone to Boston or even San Antonio or the Clippers. Its WHERE he went that's the problem. People that criticize LeBron for leaving, especially the first time are just stupid. Kyrie was being selfish that's why he's getting criticized. He had a dream situation in Cleveland, a team that can make the finals year in and year out. He says he wants to "be the man" yet says he would like to be traded to the Spurs, where Kawhi is better than him or the Timberwolves, where KAT and Butler are arguably better overall players than him.
@JaRHyCH7 жыл бұрын
darkinferno1219 LeBron had a dream situation in Miami and left. A team that could have made the finals every year, but he still left. Was he being selfish?
@ahmereware80637 жыл бұрын
Ricardo Hamilton he didn't have a dream situation bro, Dwade and Bosh both declined every year.
@darkinferno12197 жыл бұрын
Ricardo Hamilton To understand why LeBron left Miami you need to look up Pat Riley's take on how he felt on the situation. He basically says that he wanted to go off on the media like how Dan Gilbert did when LeBron left Cleveland. Riley took a week to calm down and put himself "in LeBron shoes" so to speak. Riley explains that when he talked to LeBron after he signed in 2011 LeBron explained to him that the ULTIMATE GOAL for his ENTIRE CAREER was to win a championship for Cleveland, his home team. Fast forward to 2014 and LeBron is going to be 30 that December. He knows the end of his prime is in sight and if he wanted the best chance to accomplish his ultimate goal, he'd have to do so sooner rather than later which is why he decided to leave Miami. Pat Riley even says even if they did beat the Spurs in 2014, there's a good chance LeBron leaves that year or the following year. Just look at LeBrons reaction to winning back to back with Miami vs his reaction to winning last year with Cleveland, it meant more to him he even says so right after.

@ja1boi7 жыл бұрын
DeVante Smith thank you all these people saying the team ain't built right for kyrie well geniuses tell us how you build a team around a great ISO scorer who doesn't play defense. You build a team with him not for him. He's not that transcendent of talent to build a team for. Great player tho.
@ShutThePuck7 жыл бұрын
DeVante Smith You need a balanced offense with multiple weapons, Kyrie has to move away from being so iso centric and get the ball moving. That's going to be down to Brad Stevens and Kyrie's willingness to play in his system. It can't be about Kyrie as "the best player". He might be the one who comes through in the clutch, but he can't be expected to carry the team.

Hitting big shots, scoring 40+, that's nice, but Kyrie seems to think having Gordon Hayward would have been the better option. He said as much in his Celtics press conference. He said he wanted Gordon to come to Cleveland and then Lebron showed up instead. He threw his hands in the air when he said this. No one ever put a knock on Kyrie's success because he played with Lebron; didn't have to, because it was obvious to everyone that Lebron is the #1 player on the team. Once rumors came out that Kyrie wanted from under his shadow, that's when the conversations began, like, "Wait, you think you're better than Lebron?" He's not. He'll find out.
@christophergrandison7 жыл бұрын
I'm saying how is winning a championship and making it to the finals such a burden? What abuse was he taking? A couple of harsh words on the court or slick talk in the post game press conference? You know who verbally abused people? Kobe and Jordan. They'd call it encouragement, but Lebron is no where near that intense with his teammates. Stephen Pentagon I do and he's telling the truth the cavs are a dirty organization I spoke to a few associates of mines who's close friends with kyries camp and one had stated that kyrie only wanted to be traded after finding that the cavs were trying to backdoor him by trading him for PG but unfortunately the deal never happened and eventually kyrie found out that Lebrons camp had some type of influence to trade kyrie for an elite pg like cp3 if cp3 didn't decide to go to Houston he probably would've been in cleveland by now god honest truth. How Lebron operates he befriends anyone who can help him look good but when he's got no more usage for them he orchestrates trade scenarios for his camp to persuade the cavs front office to give him what he wants. Just think how long until we start to hear rumors about Kevin love being traded for help to give to Lebron and these are the same guys that he calls best teammates and close friends just to have them traded for guys that'll help save his image

Lebrana fans are bragging that Kyrie is nothing without Lebron. Lebron left the team before the Cavs drafted Kyrie. So basically Kyrie can't carry that team because he's 18 and they are on a rebuild. Timberwolves got a lot of good rookies in the last 5 years yet they are nowhere near the playoffs. So you can't expect Kyrie to carry that scrub team after Lebron gave up on them. Btw, you can't compare the lineup of Cavs 2011 to 2014 (the team that Lebron gave up) from Cavs 2015 because it's totally different. So don't say that Kyrie can't win when he's the man on the team. Kyrie is 0-8 when Lebron sat during the last season. So why are you making excuse that Lebron lost the finals in 2015 because Kyrie was injured? Y'all are hypocrites Lebrana fan girls. And btw, Lebron should be 0-3 against the GSW if it wasnt for Kyrie.
@christophergrandison7 жыл бұрын
So Kyrie is 0-8 when Lebron is on the bench and somehow that supports your point that he's the man.

Deion, Max ... we don't know how good Kyrie is .... YET. Did we know how good Steph was GOING to be? Nooooooo. I can tell you two things that Kobe and Kyrie have in common: 1). When Shaq went out of games, many times the Lakers offense became very sluggish. Kobe had not yet learned to be the no. 1, 'cause Shaq was here. 2). People didn't think Shaq and Kobe were 'close'. People said Shaq carried Kobe and Kobe would never win a ring without Shaq. These are things I know to be fact, 'cause I was there, and was in MANY debates about Kobe's value as a player. Now, does that mean Kyrie will ascend to Kobe's level? No. However, is Kyrie not extremely skilled, TOO? Did Kyrie not carry a lot of the burden, LIKE KOBE, too? Yes. So, it's up to Kyrie to write the rest of the story, but lets not act like Lebron hit all those shots for Kyrie. Kyrie averaged 29ppg in the Finals. Very Kobe-esque. He shot 40 from 3 and 47 from the field. Uhhh ... sounds like a big-time player to me.

Not always. lol. Dude, Kobe has a very formidable resume. Kyrie will never surpass him in total points and scoring is the standard he will be judged by. Perhaps he can surpass him in PPG average, but that will take WORK. Kobe was an All-NBA First Team defender NINE times in his career. Kyrie won't be Kobe, but if he is going to be regarded more highly, he will need to play peak bball at a higher, more sensational level. If he can pull that off, I'm here to see it.

@@coolmoe3289 It isn’t at all, Lebron only says & does whatever to get himself ahead & his fans eat it up like hungry birds. In 2016 season Kyrie averaged around 24-25 points a game 4 rebounds & 5-6 assists a game that season. All the while Lebron supposedly gave him the keys to be an MVP ? You’ve gotta be kidding me, after Kyrie left. His season in 2018 was 2nd only behind AD for MVP candidate but got knee surgery and was dropped all together from the race. I’m a Kyrie fan & can tell you Lebron wasn’t going to give anybody anything. Kyrie left because he knew Lebron was trying to trade him. He tried to trade him twice.
@coolmoe32893 жыл бұрын
Bruh I get the Fact that you a Fan an All... But that season Kyrie was Still under his Rookie Contract Which had 2 years left.. Kyrie Could Not Be traded.. Cavs still owned thr Rights to him legally..

Neither do record breaking numbers like we put up...K Love picked Boston to go off on, but the only time there was magic was game 4.
@jcw0347 жыл бұрын
Michael Matthew the record came from the fouls. If you take away the outlier fouls they lose that game to GS and it is a SWEEP. If anything that proves the point. They had to shoot an incredibly high percentage, get the team into foul trouble, and make a record number of free throws in order to beat them. That actually proves their point.
@sociallyawkward96337 жыл бұрын
Michael Matthew Probably the most rigged bs game I've seen in years but I must admit GS made some mistakes who knows they could've purposely lost gm 4 just to win at home
@Jthree476937 жыл бұрын
So one game in a 7 game series that they lost means they can beat GSW? Get real. The results will be the same next year. A sweep or 5 games. Cleveland isn't beating Golden State.
