Black Forest cake is my all time favorite cake that I can never get tired of. What would make it even better is almond liqueur or extract, even though it's not traditional to the recipe, I just love the combination of cherry and almond flavor together.

Kudos for using kirsch unapologetically throughout the recipe. It seems a lot of people from the US are afraid to use alcohol when cooking/baking and I see a lot of recipe youtubers almost apologizing for using it. 0_0

Love your videos and your take on Black forest cake looks amazing and absolutely delicious. I was just a bit confused by the melted butter you added to your cake batter. Because you're soaking it with simple syrup afterwards the extra moisture from the butter isn't really necessary...
