Delicious! I like my broccoli less crunchy, so I’d cook it a bit longer, but this is beautiful!

I prefer softer broccoli too. How long should cook the broccoli for so it is not crunchy?

@@karenjatana394 I’d keep an eye on it, but without lifting the lid too much and letting out all the steam. I think he said he cooked his 5 min, so how much longer you cook it would depend on just how soft you wanted it. I’d probably try 7-8 minutes for myself and see how it is. You might need to add a TINY bit more broth than called for as well, perhaps a couple of tablespoons more?

I made this tonight. So delicious! I added two hard boiled eggs cut in half at same stage as the cheese.(I wanted an evening meal) Yum, yum! 😋

Excellent recipe, ideas, suggestions, & technique. Over the years, I've been using a salad spinner on a daily basis, not only for salad greens, as well as vegetables. Elimination of the moisture results in a better texture, less soggy, mushy vegetables. Also, preheating the pan before adding fat/oil was a major game changer, which I learned the hard way, through trial & error. But please be mindful that every stove is different!--whether gas or electric--I find it's continually adjusting the heat to find what works best for you. On my stove, especially with stainless steel cookware, a preheated low to medium low setting is sufficient to sautee vegetables. As always, don't be afraid to experiment & have fun cooking & TY Albert for your enthusiasm about sharing Spanish cuisine.

Wow, garlic "powder"? Guess you can't really use fresh in this recipe. Will be making this soon as dear hubby was just saying how much he wants broccoli! And it's too hot now to use the oven, so this is perfect! Thanks!

Wow, that looks good. Back in LA 4 days now and can't believe how expensive simple ingredients are here. Sheep Cheese (Manchego, I don't care if it has the DO mark) is crazy expensive $24 for a pound! Plus, I found that mezclado cheese is even more expensive than sheep cheese! I almost always buy Argentinian large red shrimp and yes, it is more expensive than in Spain, but it was the only frozen shrimp that was deveined where I shopped (Consum). That shrimp in USA is actually better as it's deveined, ($23 a pound) but the shell is on, and it's cut, so takes no time to remove shell (I like to keep tail on, as it just looks better). I need to do the math to see how much more saffron is here, but it's substantial. Beans and spinach are comparable.
