She seems nice, if not super bright. Seems like she desperately wants “Redpill” to mean something, that it just doesn’t anymore. All these fucking conversations are incredibly myopic. 'Men want this", "women want this". Anyone who's read any classical fiction from Bronte to fucking Tolstoy would tell you flat out what women and men find attractive shifts through trends and how a man or a woman acts shifts through time. In the 19th century men would walk hand in hand with their friends down the street. Read Dostoyevsky and you'll find men talking about their deepest feelings to friends. Hyper masculinity started in the 20th century.

Being able to identify, process, verbalize, and express emotions or feelings is something is learned, and can be developed even in adulthood with both men and women. For me as a 38 year old black man, I was raised in a household where "I love you" wasn't said often, and we rarely talked about our feelings. I now have a 4 year old, and I remember when my son was younger he trip and fell, and he bump his head on floor. He looked up at me, and I could see that he was hurt, but I could also see that he did not wanna cry in front of me. I realized in that moment how what I said or reacted was going to influence the way my son reacted when he was hurt. So I told my son "it's ok to cry if you are hurt. And it's ok to say that you are hurt and feeling said if that's how you feel". He then started to cry, and I picked him up and gave him a hug. I never got this when I was a kid. When i got hurt my parents asked if I was ok, and that I was strong and I didn't need to cry. I've been in therapy for 3 years now, and I've just started to learn how to identify what I'm feeling, what goes on physically with my body when I'm having a certain feeling or emotion, and I've learned to verbalize those emotions to my wife. It has made me a better person as a man, a better husband to my wife, a better father to my son, and a better friend to my peers. I don't think I am weaker man for expressing my emotions or feelings. I think I've become more authentic, and I've given myself more grace to make mistakes, and not always try to be the strong one in my relationships. I highly recommend studying Plutchik's Wheel of emotions. He points out eight primary emotions: anger, anticipation, joy, trust, fear, surprise, sadness and disgust. I suggest getting good at identifying these emotions in yourself. It will help provide good information on what's going on with you mental and physical state of being.

I hate how often the conversation of men's inability to express emotions keeps getting twisted into either men crying uncontrollably, or that it's a skillset that only women are capable of. You are 100% correct, it is a learned skill that anyone of any gender can be taught. Redpill people will readily acknowledge that men express anger externally just fine, yet they immediately call out that crying uncontrollably is not good behavior. The truth of the matter is that not being able to control your anger and punching a wall is much worse than crying, and neither are healthy ways to process and express your feelings. They also refuse to talk about the fact that a lot of that anger that leads to wall punching is actually because of other unresolved feelings. For example, a man gets dumped, which makes him feels sad, hurt, betrayed and insecure. If he cannot express or internalize these feelings, and that will lead him to self-loathing and anger. Being emotionally intelligent, is a simple process that is hard to master. Just as you said, it's a matter of identifying what we are feeling, why we are feeling that way, and being able to not let that emotion get the better of our behavior so we can calmly and rationally resolve negative emotions and get more fulfillment out of positive emotions. Kudos to you for realizing you were in a vicious cycle and breaking it. I think that is a true signifier of strength.

@@Eric-vh4qg I appreciate your response and the kind words for me. Lately what I've been working, with the help of my individual therapist, is verbalizing my emotions out loud. So for instance, if I get annoyed (which is angry) with something Tater Tot (my wife) says, I now make an effort to tell her, "I'm annoyed at what you said to me, and I did not like the way you said that". This is very different from the way I was conditioned growing up. Usually if I have a feeling about something that someone said or did, I just internalized it, and pushed through the feeling. But my therapist told me to think of feelings as information that your body is telling you something. My therapist said that feelings aren't a sign of weakness, or something that only women have, but feelings are a way of the body communicating that something is going on internally. She said it is just like when you have to go to the bathroom. She said that we don't ignore or body's signals when it tells us that we have to pee, so why do we ignore our feelings when our body tells us we're angry or sad, or hurt or embarrassed. She said that we can pay attention to our feelings and use the information our body is giving us to identify what is going on when we're triggered, and why we get triggered when someone says something to us or does something to us. I love this idea of seeing feelings as information. It takes away this stigma that feelings are negative or a person is weak if they have emotions. So I would suggest looking at your feelings as data you can use to understand yourself better.

Hmm... As someone who is an ex-redpiller. This conversation is almost exactly the reason why I stopped listening / agreeing with the movement. I used to be into it back in like... 2014/2015 or so, before it was super mainstream. I feel like it was genuinely about self-help, getting into the correct mindset, and bettering yourself. I'll still say it was a net-positive in my life. It helped me realize I needed to get to the gym, stop feeling sorry for myself, and better myself before I complained about myself. Got my first girlfriend at 20, pulled myself out of nearly failing college, get healthy, etc. But then it started to just... change. People inserting their own spin on shit, and 'indoctrinating' people, seemed to obvious to ignore. It stopped being about self love, and became a place to hate women. So I stopped listening to it. And now it seems it's gone so far into the stratosphere, that you have random women coming on, that clearly don't even know what the movement was founded on, coming on trying to lecture people on male dating strategies. And the cynic in me, says that she's a bad actor, farming views, manipulating lonely men into believing asinine shit. It's almost full circle, where there needs to be a redpill for the redpillers.

it irritates me that the very first hurdle in this conversation is over whether or not the pill motif is a 1:1 for progressivism vs. alt-right.. No, pua culture adopted the pill motif to demonstrate that you could either live a normal life i.e. marry the first woman that tolerates you, have kids, buy a house, live in debt, and work until you're dead - or - you could take responsibility for your life, rebuke the socially conditioned choices that you were internalizing, and live a life of choice. it was never a political movement, it was always about self-help, turning inward, and taking responsibility. I still relate to that idea even though I haven't identified as redpill in 10-15 years.

On of things that irritates me about the red pill movement is the message towards men is that you can always better yourself and create your own "value" which increases with age, whereas for women our mistakes define us, if we sleep around we are "damaged goods" and our "value" is determined by youth and fertility, essentially we have a used by date and have no control over our worth. I think there is a a way for men to express themselves while also not doing the whole "this is how it made me feel thing." You can do that, but for most men (funny enough destiny included) don't want to express themselves that way. Men Need to be able to state whats happening to them, but maybe in a more factual way. You can still get to the core of the issues without feeling weak, just provide more facts than just "I'm good" or "it sucked but whatever". Maybe instead of "I was feeling this/that" use "I was thinking this/that"...
@Eric-vh4qg
@Eric-vh4qg Жыл бұрын
The problem with being factual with emotions is that emotions are a subjective experience. I do think that there are other positive ways to express how you feel without necessarily saying "Hey man, when you said I have small PP energy, that made me feel sad". We all know that is just going to provoke more small PP energy jokes. This is a big reason why men don't share their vulnerabilities with other men, because men are assholes that will fuck with you just to get a reaction. If your friends are real friends though, and someone says something that bothers you, you should be able to look them in the eye and say, "that crosses a line". Being able to set boundaries and communicate them is a big part of emotional intelligence. The biggest part, however, is simply being able to identify what emotions you are currently feeling, reflecting on them to understand why you are feeling this way, and being able to control your behavior despite your emotions so you can calmly and rationally deal with them.

Red pill isn’t about stopping your girlfriend going to the clubs and being a thot. If you reject feminism and end up with someone that’s a thot or that goes to the club or doesn’t dress how you like you’re not red pill. Red pill is a strategy to get or promiscuous thots created by feminism women to choose you. it wouldn’t make sense to be red pill and use strategies to deal with and fuck women who align with feminist values when being red pill meant you stay away from those women. That just completely contradicts itself. If red pill was about finding traditional Christian women it would be about living to the Ten Commandments and attracting Virgin Maries, red pill is specifically about fucking thots that have options and getting them to choose you instead

The issue is that "red pill" has had like 500 different specific meanings when it was started as a broad "the truth about X thing" The redpill meaning "women are dumb and you should treat them as such" is relatively new - and Sneako/Tate's current specific offshot of THAT definition is even newer. The original 4 colors and their definitions made sense: Red = "the truth, feels be damned" | Blue = "ignore the truth, I'm comfy" | White = "optimism in spite of bad truths" | Black = "pessimism/checking out in light of bad truths" Everything that deviates from the core 4 are just lazy co opting of internet lingo by groups who decide that their views are X-pilled which is unironically as blue pilled as it gets. It's like when Christians define "truth" as whatever the Bible says because they want the association of the word to apply in a way that gives it more credibility from their perspective.

I’m going to give her the benefit of the doubt and say she’s trying to exercise her brain after her double concussion? She said she used to do debate so I’m thinking maybe she’s trying to get back to that because she is bringing absolutely zero substance to the conversation lol This is how dumb redpill is though because you just have to be attractive and say you agree and the men will practically throw the engagement at you 😂

I love how she moves the Overton window to pre-1920's to define "rightwing." She claims redpillers are mostly progressive and when challenged on how Rollo might not be rightwing, she points out how he doesn't believe in abolishing women's suffrage.

I feel like she joined the red pill community 2 days ago and automatically assumes her positions are their positions. Fresh n Fit and Andrew Tate are the literal thought leaders of the red pill movement. This woman seems nice but her double concussions seem to have affected her perspective here

Nope they are not . Try again , red pill existed prior to those guy . The thought leader is rollo tomassi

There was a lot of early thought leaders behind red pill ideas. Roissi in DC aka Chateau Heartiste comes to mind as an early guy who never made youtube vids. The dude gave off psychopath vibes.

I consider myself redpill but I think Andrew Tate and Fresh and Fit are clowns. They are far from "literal thought leaders of the red pill"

@@righteousrawb7225 most of fresh and fit talking point come from rollo or is a point took from them and modified . Rollo agrees with fresh and fit ? That is called networking , you won’t debate every little point with people who are in you side . Destiny in his first time didn’t debate that much even if we know he disagreed a lot W

29:37 i think shes correct about the religious influence. If you recall the Adam 22 episode with the religious guy, he also tried to frame his pro life beliefs as rationally determined, but destiny was able to show that there was actually a religious foundation there. I think this one sided open relationship stuff might be the same

The difference is most red pilled men (and non men to be completely honest) would desire an one sided relationship whether they are religious or not while pretty much only religious people are prolife

How could it be their religious beliefs if they promote premarital sex and adultery? They don't advocate for 4 wives, they advocate for fornication

No religion talks about having an ever-expanding rotation of random bitches to fuck. These guys never even seem to talk about getting married, which is so important to Abrahamic religious relationship shit. Unless you're saying this is coming from a new religion that they made up.
