What's really funny to me is that she only apologized about accusing him of mansplaining because Destiny identifies as nonbinary. As if accusing a man of mansplaining is not offensive at all. And just like you said, the whole point of debates is justifying your stance. If you think the opponent is wrong in their beliefs, you have to assume that they just don't understand something. A good debater will explain their point in a simple way that anyone can understand, but the side effect of that is emotional people can feel like they're being talked down to
@jtzoltan Жыл бұрын
It's hilarious that they don't understand that Rittenhouse didn't shoot to "defend property", he shot to defend his life, which he took very reasonable measures to avoid having to and excercised good judgement in doing so (like holding back on shooting the 3rd attacker with the pistol when he started to step back and lowered his gun, but shooting him only as he raised it again). People showed up to stand in/outside their businesses and those lf their neighbors as witnesses and deterrents to mob violence... they were armed to defend themselves and each other should anyone try to attack them. That's after 2 nights of riots had already done $50 million in property damage (I think people were attacked too, but could be misremembering) amd where the cops were clear they would not intervene and there were no national guards called in (the Governor was a disgrace). I'm not sorry to say, but Rosenbaum forfeited his life, and I don't feel sorry for a guy like him. I do feel sorry for the innocent kid he once was, but whatever he did and happened to him between then and this night, he was derranged.

@Trade Bum Simmons no if they ridle steps above semi auto it is offensive, if the rifle steps above 5.56 to a 7.62 it is offensive. If it uses armor piercing rounds it is offensive. There are things that, in any given subject, are dead give-away's that someone has absolutely no idea what they're talking about. In the context of guns, statements like "Why couldn't he just shoot him in the leg?" or in this specific conversation "why couldn't he just wait a few more seconds before he shot someone" (as if that would have appeased her even if he did this) instantly reveal that someone has no idea what goes on during a deadly confrontation. I don't know why people feel so equipped to talk so confidently about things they have no knowledge of at all. I don't even care that they don't have direct experience... it's not like the only experts on deadly force are people that have been in 1,000 firefights... but people who have done zero homework at all on what happens in someones' head when they get punched or shot at shouldn't be so smug about how people should behave in a gunfight.
@Bai_Su_Zhen3 жыл бұрын
You're completely right. I understand the panels are kind of like its own ways of drama stream, but it makes me really sad and pessimistic about the future when I turn on a political stream and literally 99% of people are complete clueless moronic radicals, acting all smug. I hope these people never have any political power but since there is so many of them, what can the odds be, you know?
@117Ender3 жыл бұрын
@@Bai_Su_Zhen there was a video about a blm protester or leader agreeing to go to a police excercise on how to decide in seconds whose a threat and act on the threat. look at how he does and his post thoughts. the issue is most ppl, arent gun owners, havnt gone to a range dont know, gun safety, and most of all have lived such prilivage and safe lives they dont know how quickly things escalate and how badly things can go.
@@117Ender I will say I that Im SUPER suspicious of any training environment where you are forced to make an engagement, or scenarios that are always crafted for you to shoot someone. Like, how many times are they crafting scenarios where the correct answer is for the cop to literally just walk away?
@shadowgame06303 жыл бұрын
@@paulares292 well the point is to show how many seconds you have to make a decision, rather than what type of decision you should make whether it be lethal or passive action. It moreso defends the idea that people can easily make mistakes in these high tension scenarios rather than saying you should always be ready to shoot to kill

@@fatnose0 peaceful protestors would be dettered to come by most peaceful but fiery protests. thats the argument in a nutshell. one the statment paints the opposition as agitating, are they? or is it ppl who dont know anything about firearms, feel threatened by seeing fire arms. that would be exactly like ppl protesting not willing to attend an event if the location is on fire and saying i dont want to be in a location thats burning cause clearly that location isnt safe. would they be wrong in assuming that? or is it reasonable to argue that a place on fire and ppl cheering on the fire, are more dangerous than ppl carrying fire arms? which one would you be at?
