Julian Whiteway I've also thought this scene was familiar, I imagine that in season 4 Darth Vader will capture, torture and turn Ezra to the dark side and give him the name Starkiller and uses him to find and kill Kanan, later on he senses the Emperor will discover Vader has an apprentice who is preparing to overthrow him so Vader sends Starkiller away for safety cuz he doesn't want to kill his "creation" and Starkiller forms the knights of Ren while in hiding

Director Kid Star Wars rebels isn't going to have any sort of crossover to the movies. That's already been stated. I like the theory but there's zero evidence to support it in the slightest so I'm going to say it's not plausible. I don't think Ezra will turn, Vader will just kill him if he does fight him.

Idk if this really counts, but the TIE Defender project was actually somewhat of a competition between Grand Admiral Thrawn and Orson Krennic. Thrawn wanted approval by Palpatine to mass produce his TIE Defenders, while Krennic sought approval to build the Death Star.

In regard to Ezra's scout trooper helmet and Sabine painting it, he asked her back in season one if she'd paint the one Zeb snagged for him on their first duo mission for meilooruns. Every time he's gotten a new helmet since, it appeared shortly after with a new paint job. I just assumed it became a standing thing between them that she'd paint any new ones he manages to steal from Empire troopers.
