@Zakemaster3 ай бұрын
Yeah. It’s a nice reminder that, despite everything she’s doing to undermine and complicate everything, under it all she’s just a deeply hurt person lashing out at the world. When confronted with someone in a moment of need, her immediate reaction is actually kindness. I think it’s an incredibly important scene to get a glimpse of the Rebecca underneath all of her scheming and pain.

There's a saying in the restaurant business: the first come on is an invite. If it's not accepted, then the next is harassment. Every server knows that with happy drunk people, someone will step over the line. The problem is first when they ignore a firm no. The male waiter was coming on to Rebecca after Sassy did what she did. So no, it's not harassment.

FYI, when hot women flirt with us, it's NOT harassment. 😉
@MrAssister_3 ай бұрын
I get it, I used to think this way too, but try gaining some perspective here. Nobody, regardless of gender, wants to be sexualized by someone they are not into. He was into it, so no harm, no foul, but It's the same shit with catcalling and how that makes women feel. The emotions and feelings that come from being grossly sexualized are the same no matter how someone identifies. There are plenty of ways to be outwardly forward and tell someone you are attracted to them without sexually harassing them.
@JoshuaMartian-go3tm3 ай бұрын
@@MrAssister_ That's the difference between males and females. We don't feel threatened by females flirting or propositions or catcalls towards us, unless maybe it's towards a yng boy. As a teen I was a basketball player and I LOVED this kind of attention from older females or females my age at the time. It was even flattering from an occasional qay dude. lol I never felt uncomfortable at being sexualized even at that ag by the mere fact that I as a male had full control. There have been a couple of situations where older women have pursued me even after I showed no interest but again, it was never violent or a situation where i felt harassed and something I couldn't handle. Nor were the women aggressive to a point of harassment. No offense, but it's a false equivalency to compare what we go thru verses what females go thru.
@MrAssister_3 ай бұрын
@@JoshuaMartian-go3tm But it's not about feeling threatened. It's moreso about being objectified. Just being seen as eye candy to be drooled over takes away some humanity from them. And like I said, some people are into that, but for others it can do significant and lasting damage to their self-image and identity.
@JoshuaMartian-go3tm3 ай бұрын
@@MrAssister_ Of course it is. Y and Maple just said it was "harassment" What kind of "harassment" isn't threatening? 😅 Yr projecting something that is not happening in that scene. If he felt objectified and or harrassed, he would not have smiled. He would have said he didn't wasn't interested which he didn't do. He welcomed it with that smile, and it's verified by him sleeping with Becca. Sassy is not a prdtrNo matter what y both say, sorry. The line between flirting and objectification is based on if it's welcomed or unwanted and clearly stated it's not wanted. If someone finds the other attractive it's not but if it's from someone that's not attractive, it's suddenly "harassment" and objectification? hahaha smh No offense but I think yr a woman and yr projecting yr experiences in that scene and creating a scenario that is not happening, y both are a bit off imo, sorry.
@MrAssister_3 ай бұрын
@@JoshuaMartian-go3tm Firstly, I said in every response previous that the interaction in the show was fine and dandy. The only thing I was objecting is your comment that if a hot women harasses a guy its fine. Secondly, I never said Sassy was a predator; that's just putting words in my mouth. Third, I'm not a woman and I'm not projecting my own experiences. However I do think I'm in a online debate with a child or someone with the intellect of one so I'm gonna stop wasting my time and be done with this chain. Reread the thread and practice some active reading and critical thinking. You will be better off for it 👍
