I LOVE HOW JILL IS SO COMFORTABLE TO DISAGREE. I often feel in the church the women are hushed and their words are the mans words. You can totally see it’s on display that Jill has her own thoughts, opinions, and even disagrees with Derrick AND ITS OKAY. Love this couple and the work they have done!

Yes this makes me so happy! There is absolutely no need to stir the pot or disrespect your husband, BUT, I think often things are labeled in those categories that don't actually fit. Aka, having an opinion and disagreeing with your husband! And also, having a boundary of when and where to have conversations. That's so so important (especially for survivors)

While I don’t share your religious views, I just want to say I’m amazed by how much Jill has grown. It’s a relief to hear her exercise her voice independently of Derrick, to realize that spouses don’t always need to agree, and really have agency over herself and that one can have that autonomy and still have a healthy, happy marriage. In fact, Jill is probably a better partner now because of her personal growth. I would love to know if Jill has plans to go to college at all to pursue any personal passion?

People, please, I think its important to remember that the Duggars are still Jill's family. She may have chosen to separate herself and her family from them, she MIGHT have some very strong negative feelings surrounding her family, but they are still her family, and in the end when its all said and done you can be sure negative; rude; distasteful, nasty comments against her family from strangers who know nothing about the soul of the family are very hurtful to her. Please respect her dignity and allow her to find closure and peace without further negativity.

Josh has brought himself under the spiritual and physical supervision of Jim Bob and Jim Bobs church. Unlike Jill and Derek who refuse to submit any longer to Jim Bob and his church. Jill and Derek now attend a different church then any Duggars. Aldo if you don't know; Josh, Anna and kids literally live next door to the Duggar Big house; on the same gated property.

I hope Jill can join him learning too. She seems a little hardheaded and stubborn about it. Reminds me of JB. @@nancyfarkas3592 There's homeschooling that is excellent, and homeschooling that is barely adequate. From what I've seen of the Duggar variety, I'm guessing it is the barely adequate type. EVERYONE needs as much and as varied an education as possible to be able to be employable in case of a life-changing event. That means that even women get an education to do the type of work they are called to do. Maybe even especially women get an education to do the type of work they need to do. Jill seems so much happier now and they way she is able to have 2 adorable boy's that are able to be normal boys playing and going to school getting a PROPER EDUCATION. Totally agree about whether a son or a daughter help them figure out a career path. Even Michele (Jills mom) has her Real Estate license, so why not help your children find some kind of degree, certificate, or employment history that will help them in the future too? It breaks my heart when I see young married women with 5 kids and then their husband tragically passes away. Besides the heartbreak of the loss etc now she will have to figure out how to be the provider with no employment history etc. Something I really admire about the Bates family is that most of their children have careers in all different fields not just midwifery. Some of their daughters are hair stylist, teachers, realtors, nurses, etc. Whatever they CHOOSE to do whether it be a SAHM, a working mom, if their husbands lost their job, if they want to save up for a house, etc. They have SOMETHING to help out their family or stand on their own 2 feet. I am a SAHM but I have a business degree, past employment history, and a real estate license. If I need to start working again I can do what I need to do to help out my family. Right now I’m helping my family by staying home in the future that may change if it doesn’t that’s okay if it does I’m prepared. 🤱🏻 👩🏻‍💼

Can you go more in detail about what “it depends” means in relation to the invites to the big house. What events have you not been invited to? What events have you been invited to that maybe you choose not to go to? Do you feel valued in your family? Do you feel that there are so many kids that your absence has no effect on your parents and that they don’t feel a true commitment to valuing you and incorporating you Derrick and the boys into the family unit. Do you feel like your parent’s love and the position you hold in the Duggar big house is directly related by how you conform to them and the way they are currently wanting you to live your life? Also, lol, does the dog still sleep outside.

Good to hear about the dog training. The trainer & vet are the best ppl to help. My info was based on their info-bc I wouldn’t have been able to do without them-. Personally, I think the two of you going out on your own and figuring out life away from family is a blessing. Everyone has their own way of doing things and believing! Go for it!!! Much love!

I'm glad you are raising your kids to be independent, because kids are different than their parents. I don't expect my kids to be just like me. They are their own person and they need to live their lives how they want. Keep on keeping on, kids.

Yep. I went to a church for years that became hateful to its members over a time. Accepting of them even though they were gay or trans and then there was a pastor change and everyone became hateful. The church I had known since a child became one that was all about image and I am now at a better relationship with God since I left.

I’m a fan, I’ve watched all specials and series and am aware of the buddy system according to the Duggar’s view. I was hoping Jill might talk personally about it. Does she feel that she raised her siblings? Especially now as a mother herself, does she feel the buddy system was appropriate.

I enjoy your channel. I was raised with very similar Christian values. Just an idea, the creation story in Genisis was first written to people who did not have the scientific knowledge that we do today so they were told a beautiful and simple story. The important thing is that God is our creator whither it took him six literal 24 hour periods or millions of years. It took me until I was about 75 years old to realize this. Keep growing. You are not finished yet.

Jill and Derick, keeping being a light to the world and to your family. I am so proud of you. You’re siblings (especially the younger ones) will need you to help them walk through and understand this trauma one day. Soon your family and your siblings will start to come to you and Derick for help and advise. God has put you in this place for a reason. ❤️ reminds me of Moses leading his people away from Egypt, first God had to separate Moses before he could lead anyone. You have a big role to play now and in the future. God bless

Thank you for sharing. I was raised Catholica but I am agnostic. My sister is Christian and introduced me to your family on a Thanksgiving - I watched every season and cried with you and watched you all grow up with your faith and dealing with today society norms. I wish all of you the best and I wish the best for Anna and Josh. I don't know if there is a God....but as a humanitarian I saw children being victimized....and forced to live this horror on the media. I felt sick. Children records should not be opened unless as an adult did something illegal. That is the law. I am sorry if I overshared my thoughts on your channel. If you read this, no problem if you delete. Your mental health is so important. BE SAFE!!!

Keep up all the hard work in therapy, it truly does help. I’m also a form believe that the hardship you walk together through during your marriage only strengthens the bond you have with your spouse- unfortunately I have a very toxic family and all the stones thrown only sealed our connection even more- funny how that works - 🥰. Much love from northwest Washington!!

Question for next Q&A: Were you encouraged to continue your education growing up? Such as community College, university, trade school or something beyond high school? I know the show touched on you taking mid wife courses and some of your brothers did flight school, but other than that was there a pathway encouraged for higher education?
@ilikeyoutube836

Clearly not. None of them have attended universities. They might be taught that their religious beliefs are not factual. God forbid... I mean how can you pass college courses when you have no real knowledge of science outside the erroneous teachings of religious doctrine? No knowledge of literature outside the bible? No knowledge of accurate world history? Try telling a college professor that the world is only 6k years old, or that Noah's ark was actually a possible thing... Their kids would get laughed out of a real educational setting, and they don't want their kids learning of the realities that conflict with their religious "beliefs"

I'm very glad to hear that you're questioning. Keep learning and discovering! BTW here's something to think about: God is everywhere, right? Well, if he's everywhere, then how do you know that a day of creation is an Earth day? Maybe a day is billions of years? A "God day" perhaps? And maybe evolution is how God decided to make life? Lots of Christians believe that too! :)
