It's not really money laundering. It's overblown production costs and massive reliance on CGI (that's going to age poorly, which means the shows are in no way future-proof). Godzilla Minus One didn't have this overabundance of sets from all over the world and sometimes practical effects can be by far cheaper than CGI, but CGI is generally easier. Godzilla Minus One worked with very few sets, that also mostly didn't need that much altering (except for the "Tokio in ruins" set) and the costumes also didn't have to be anything that was specially made for the movie.

Not to defend the show, much, but as @conscientiousobjector5988 said, his bracer and helmet were most likely made from Cortosis (A metal that has existed canonically for many years in the Star Wars franchise, at least before it became Legends) - It was used quite often by the Imperial Remnant Knights, a sort Imperial Aligned non-sith semi-force users after the fall of the Empire, again, in the Legends timeline.

The only thing that's happening is we're getting to the point where the customer is no longer sucking it up and consuming the product anyway. Disney gets paid millions of dollars to make these crap movies. Investors give them a guaranteed windfall to make these dei movies. In the past people used to still go to the movies. So Disney got the investor money and the customer's money. Now we're no longer going to their movies. So they're only getting investor money. Turns out a couple million isn't more than a billion. As long as we keep not going to these movies they will eventually stop making them. Because investors can only guarantee money for so long. And guaranteed money is not better than the risky money.

I personally believe that one of three people (or a combination of) should have control of star wars. George lucas should buy it back and take it to his grave. I understand some may not agree but the creator knows best. Second would be jon fraveu. He seems to me to have the best grasp of where to take star wars. Filloni is a phony and was a plant by kennedy. You cant convince otherwise. Last but not least, timothy zahn. This man brought us the thrawn trilogy and in my opinon the direction star wars lore should of gone in to continue luke leia and hans stories.

I don't know why they would panic. Kennedy from day one has set out to destroy this franchise, and she's succeeded. They knew this would flop the same way many of the series before it have. It's not about making money anymore, it's about pushing agendas. Anyone who was a Star Wars fan could run Lucasfilm better than Kennedy. Look at what worked in the past and simply try to replicate it.
