As someone who was homeschooled my entire life, HSM always made me a little jealous of what high school was "really" like... Come to find out it was all a lie lol. Also, I think part of the reason that HSM actually wasn't bad was because it was choreographed by Kenny Ortega, the same choreographer who choreographed Newsies the broadway musical, and the dancing in that musical is so so great.

Jesus Christ, watching this was an experience. I have never seen High School Musical, but I live very close to the school where it was filmed, which is also called East High School, and it's an overcrowded underfunded nightmare of a school. Hearing him say "East High School has a rooftop garden" made me feel like I was entering some kind of alternate dimension where Utah actually spends money on its public schools.

And if so, have you seen _High School Musical: The Musical: The Series?_ The whole premise of that show is about a bunch of kids who go to the real life East High School in Salt Lake City where the original HSM was filmed, and so their (new and eccentric) drama teacher decides to put on a theatrical production of HSM. My point is, there was no rooftop garden in the actual school.

@@IvanPavlov Yes, it does exist, and it's FULL of references to HSM! It's a little surreal to watch, honestly. It's a lot like _Glee_ (with HSM as the backdrop) with the camerawork of _The Office_ (since they're both mockumentaries.) It's a really good show (plus the songs SLAP! You can find them on KZbin)! And if I'm being honest I like it a lot more than the OG trilogy (although, I'm not the biggest fan of the HSM franchise, so take my opinion with a grain of salt). You should watch it! Although, be forewarned that if you do decide to watch, the first episode is a teensy bit cringy. Stick it out till the second or third episode, you'll most likely love it!

Yea it's weird to realize hes so young. I was in the zenon/johnny tsunami/thirteenth year/brink/motorcrossed era of Disney movies. And like So Weird, The Jersey, The Famous Jet Jackson. It’s actually very sad because camp rock 2 is a metaphor for the war. America is camp rock and Afghanistan is camp star. She enlisted in the war as camp rock but many of the troops had been taken hostage by camp star right away. And the parachutes camp star sent are a metaphor for the bombs. They took so many lives. Tess (her best frenemy) and a lot of the camp counselors (commanding officers) were taken hostage forcing Amanda to take on a leadership position that she wasn’t ready for. She lead them into the camp wars and they lost miserably. She also settled for Kevin when she wanted joe and that’s a metaphor not for her but for Drew. Drew wanted his Joe (Danny) but had to settle for Kevin (Amanda). Amanda thought she had her Shane Gray, but went back home to realize he was a Shane gay, gay for Danny that is. And she returned from the war to find drew pregnant and married to someone else. You see, camp rock 2: the final jam’s camp wars were not just a metaphor for the war that she lost in Afghanistan, but also the war that she lost in her love life. And so camp rock 2 haunts her nightmares.

I'll always remember the actual drama that happened during auditions and backstage, and i'll never forget all the kids that got overstimulated and had panic attacks, or the kids who almost passed out from overheating.
