Decades ago I was going to camo my Blazer. After a weekend at the river we went to the paint store and matched the mud. Used that as the camo base. Worked so well I didn't have to wash the truck for months!!

That is awesome!

We have a 2107 Jeep painted Gobi. The dirt blends in well! Hubby get lots of compliments on it. It never looks dirty unless we have crusted sand and mud from the winter attached!

That is definitely one drawback with a white vehicle... Every bit of dirt shows! LOL

You`re all set for good content for a long time. The inside should be less cumbersome work.

These vids are interesting to watch.

You mentioned rooftop fans. Consider the vertically mounted fan(s) in the rear van windows. Bob Wells had a female assistant who did this. Perks include reduced roof penetrations and more space for solar panels.

That is an interesting idea! We haven't installed a roof vent yet and are still debating about it. I had thought about a through-wall vent - likely in the back. The windows would be an interesting option though.

great concept, however, I feel that your gas mileage is going to go way down without an aerodynamic face to the wind.
@nothere7198Ай бұрын
Early on he mentioned he'd (probably ?) be doing a front fairing later for that.
@patd4u2Ай бұрын
that's not really a concern, they spend most of their time camped on his sons property, and just go out on short excursions for a week or two then head back to his property

@@patd4u2 sooner or later he is going to feel the pinch down the line, but for mobility inside the van, 100% needed, may work out. He will find his modifications suit him or at least the best he can do for practically at the time. This van life evolves, and you use your experience to go forward and evolve with it.
