I am in shock I can't believe it.... you may be one of the only people on YT that can do it all and do it well... use a cam properly.... use good lighting.... show relevant parts... speak smoothly and intelligently... know what you are talking about, not say ah, um every second word with long pauses in between... the headline matches the topic... and possibly most important of all you don't tell stories for the first 12 minutes about 2-3-4 other things that have nothing to do with the topic of the video before getting on with it CONGRATULATIONS YOU ARE A YT STAR! imho! honestly I am stunned when I find a well done video!

Levi Callus Good to hear "this takes time, understanding and patience". I am on my 2nd week of trying to remove the low pressure fuel line using fingers by depressing the 2 black buttons as you force the metal line against the HPFP than try and "pull it off". Finally quit and ordered pliers made for this particular task as well as "the wrap around metal button depresser" but many reviews state the wrap around fails to adequately depress the black plastic buttons.

I did this with a an old credit card, a zip tie, a lighter, a tire pressure gauge, and a 9mm box wrench. 1. cut the credit card cut down to a 3cm by 2cm rectangle. 2. wrap the rectangle around the tire pressure gauge and use the lighter to give it a circular shape. 3. wrap the warped rectangle where the tool would go. 4. tighten the card flush around the metal with the zip tie. 5. use the wrench to push the credit car in.

Hey I fixed mine!: '96 Buick Century dripping quick connect fuel line-bad o rings. I was able to disconnect the line using the right size push in nylon disconnect collar sleeve auto stores sell for this. Then I used needle nose pliars to remove the 4 fingers metal connect cage by rolling it and lifting out. Then I removed the first black plastic spacer sleeve by prying with a small screw driver. Then pry out the first o ring, then the yellow plastic spacer sleeve, then the second o ring. I then found my 1/4" socket extension fat end was the right size to tap everything back in place using a light hammer in the same order noting the black spacer sleeve has a wide end top stop. I replaced the worn o rings with black plumbing o rings # 2-012 3/8" id x 1/2" od that I had in my supplies. Paying it forward here, hope it helps you.

@Michael Walter I cant comment on a Buick because I have not been exposed to one. What I do know from working on other cars is that the oil rings are found in the fuel injector heads. You have the fuel line which uses the fuel release tools on this video and then the fuel line feeds the fuel rail with the fuel injectors feeding the combustion chambers. Hope it helps.

I am looking for a DIY mechanic that has a typical low pressure fuel pump line entering the HPFP but has 2 depressable black buttons that can be depressed by: 1. your fingers 2. a special blunt tipped pair of pliers or 3. the circular tool that wraps the metal fuel line and depresses the release buttons when closed - so you can remove the metal fuel line from the short metal entry tube into the HPFP. I have tried several times as the you tube videos suggest "no tool required" but I finally stopped trying and purchased pliers (than soft tipped the plier ends) and the circular tool is coming UPS for $37.00 but many reviews of the circular tool indicate it is not properly made so fails to depress the buttons for release of the low pressure fuel line into the HPFP: Working on A 2011 Mini Cooper Countryman S with the N18 Engine.

Have you tried pushing it on further or rotating the connections? I'd be hesitant using a gear clamp connection and there isn't a hose barb, so you can risk the link sliding off under pressure.

That's normally where I purchased all my o-rings from. They have a tapered gauge to measure the o-rings as well.
